Step 5: Select the proper .ipcc file.

I used this one on my sisters 3G and it works fine:

t-mobile_us_standard.ipcc

^ Thank you. Will follow this tutorial once I do a restore on my iPhone 3gs making it as close to new as possible. I'm hoping to take the FW to the latest iOS possible to maintain my Jailbreak/Unlock so that I can continue using the phone with t-mobile.

well finally took the Firmware Version of my iPhone 3gs to a later version so I was able to do the MMS Fix. You pasted some instructions but didn't mention the other steps that are mentioned on the http://blog.tweefari.com/post/3626600209/t-mobile-usa-carrier-bundle page. The moving of the .deb file to the AutoInstall folder on the phone for the patching. I followed all those steps first. Seems everything's good now. I've attached some images.

I went with the t-mobile_us_standard.ipcc file for now but am handing off this phone to my mom in a few days and she uses the t-zones data plan on her line. So for that, I'm guessing I have to install the t-mobile_us_t-zones.ipcc ? How would I pull the standard one off? Do I have to?

I have an iPhone 4 that is jailbroken and all that great stuff. I'm on the t-mobile network and I'm able to send, but can't recieve picture messages. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Same here but a step further. I have the Apple-sanctioned unlocked iPhone 4 and I can't get it to work with T-Mobile MMS either.

I've tried the multiple APNs, multiple WAP settings, WAP proxy settings, etc. etc. etc. I got it to a point, same as Perro4 where I can send MMS fine, but whenever I try to receive MMS an automated message that says, "The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction."

I'm on the T-Mobile prepaid plan with BlackBerry support. The BlackBerry sends and receives MMS fine. The iPhone sends fine but will never receive.

Likewise I can't get FaceTime to activate either but that's another story...

I'm using an iPhone 2g (3.0) on T-Mobile and I have the same problem. I can send MMS, but cannot receive. I get the same message you do. I can stupidly send MMS to myself successfully, though! :D

:D I have a jailbroken unlocked iphone with ver 3.1.2 firmware and modem firmware 05.11.07 let me clear up confusion here are the instructions for those lost ones

Go to Cydia now touch "sections" , scroll down to "tweaks" select it now scoll down to T-mobile US - Postpaid/Flexpaid, there are 6 of them , it should be the second one , to make sure it is the right on , touch each one it will load and in about 10 sec look for the one with the description that says (tmobile carrier support for postpaid and flexpaid BLACKBERRY plans, It enables MMS, internet, etc........ ) this is the one you want. Now once you find it look in the right top corner select install then confirm, it will install and the phone will reboot, now shut down the phone restart it and tada you now can Send and Receive MMS
ensure your cellular info:

Cellular Data
APN - epc.tmobile.com
user name - (its blank)
password - (also blank)
MMS
APN - wap.voicestream.com
Username - (blank)
password - (blank)
MMSC - http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy - 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size - 1048576
MMS UA Prof URL - http://www.apple,com/mms/uaprof.rdf

Should this work for an iPhone 2g (3.0), as well?

Sorry to jack your thread but thought this might interest you because you wouldn't be having this problem if it was an official T-Mobile phone.

I don't expect it to actually do anything I just created this to allow people to vent their frustration.

Thanks for signing.

Here's a suggestion

Make sure you install UltraSn0w first.. Reason you have to is that it a establishes a connection to the tower and thus will add that Cellular Data Network field.

If your iPhone is jailbroken on iOS 4 and below, use Cydia and add repository: http://cydia.pushfix.info. Once that is added, search for T-mobile US MMS Fix. It will preload all the settings for your iPhone and will fix that stupid
"media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction" error.

Can't receive MMS on my jailbroken iPhone 3g with Tmobile

Did you get any help with your problem?

I can send MMS but cannot receive and I have been looking in google like crazy and cannot find anything that makes sense.

Here were my old settings before I switched if this helps anyone.

The last line there is apple.com. Got kind of cut off in the pics. Apple in one pics and com in the other.

Hopefully this helps.
