The little bugs I have are not earth shattering but still a little surprising for a global flagship product.

My ip5 bugs that bit me gently so far:

1. The phone even with auto-dim off will sometimes dim to near invisible after coming inside from outside. Weird. Feature is OFF, why is it dimming....

2. When coming out of sleep to wake (not power off) I get a fairly long lag before any Internet communication is resumed.

3. I've experienced random occasions when my email will NOT send. I get a failure. Until I reboot. I CAN get web pages, so that's odd.

4. My phone when connected to my car USB will randomly turn off ringer volume to zero. Missed a few work calls due to this.

Anyway, obviously nothing major, but stuff I hope gets fixed soon

Delete all your Settings via the Settings app (/General/Reset/Reset Settings). This fixed my Brightness issues and made it behave the way it is intended in iOS 6.

Why are consumers beta testing IOS 6 for Apple?

For the same reason that they are doing it for Microsoft, Google, ea, and every other software house out there.

I want to get paid?

Why the question? Not sure? FWIW, outside beta testing postions are generally not paid positions. You may get an early look at features or a complimentary copy. Regardless, the amount effort is generally not congruous with the level of renumeration. IMHO, outside testers don't do it for the money.

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6 and for some reason my data usage is almost double what it normally is. With iOS 5, my monthly usage was around 300 to 500 MB. Now it's pushing 800MB. I can't for the life of me figure out why it's so high now. I've only FaceTimed over 3G twice using 60MB total. 80% of the time I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

I have had it glitch on incoming calls. It is set to play an audible ringtone but it would just vibrate and screen is black. Nothing showing. Finally just swiped at the bottom where lock slide would be and it answered and lit up the screen. ?? Also have had it lag quite a bit on incoming calls. Between when I hit answer and when the screen changes to answered call screen.

Don't want to ignite any haters but I would say Droiid and iOS are getting closer and closer in overall performance. Don't get me wrong I love certain things about the iPhones but the GS3 has come a long way for those that haven't used Droiid in a while.

Edit: I keep the phone very "clean." Hardly any added apps and reboot/clear every couple of days.

My phone stopped turning its screen off after a minute and would just stay on. Then it started setting the auto brightness to whatever it wanted.

Also noticed that when I miss a call it will no longer get rid of the missed call icon if I check the call history like it used to.

And then there is the occasional screen blip thing.

Here are 2 annoying "bugs" I've found with iOS 6:

1. After fully charging, the battery almost immediately drops to 98% or 99%. A reboot restores it to 100%.

2. Only sometimes does the picture i have for someone in contacts show up on the lock screen when they call (with iOS 5, their picture always appeared). Weird - it seems random.

Anyone else or just me?

I have the same issues as #2. I actually thought it was the contacts database but the pictures are fine. Only happened once but it did.

Same bugs for me on the 5 as the 4s running iOS6...

-No reliable notifications for SMS or iMessage unless I have "View in Lock Screen" turned ON. This one pisses me off for obvious reasons. Why should everyone else see who is texting me?

-Auto Dim does not work...period...end of sentence. I turn it on in bright sun or pitch black and the screen brightness does nothing.

-Bluetooth seems to "go to sleep" on me once I get out of the car and will not sync up when I get back in. I have to toggle it off and back to connect again.

I see these same symptoms in 2 different phones yet they don't seem widespread and that is really odd.

Those producst are way more tested than ios or macos.

Apples policy of secrecy means less quality testing.

What service pack are we on for Windows 7? (wonderful OS, BTW), and before that Win95, NT, 98, and so on?
How long did it take Google to move most of their products out of the "beta" stage. Wasn't that a running joke that Google never finalizes their software and uses the beta tag as a get out of jail free card? Again, wonderful tools, if you don't mind having your data collated and sold to advertisers (and I don't).
Battlefield 2? 3? What entertainment software hasn't been patched?
Open source software... it's updated reguarly. No?
Java?

Hate to break it to you, but that's life in the electronic age. Though my TRS80 was pretty solid.

I guess I am tolerant to glitches. Falcon 3.0 is still my favorite flight sim of all time. And we remember what THAT was like. Right?

Have you reported these things? Don't expect a fix if you don't.

If I hang up from a call, the last podcast I was listening to starts playing. Even if I wasn't listening to it before the call began.

I've had this one.

1. Sometimes I get a glitch in the screen like a line in different colors when I have the keyboard come up.

2. Safari is really buggy for me.
A. Sometimes tap to zoom doesn't work right away. I have to pinch to zoom and then tap to zoom works like normal.
B. When I tap the address bar to input a URL. If I want to make a correction I can't for the life of me get the cursor to move. I keep pressing to move it. It just won't work.
C. Some web pages won't work with safari on my iPhone 5. I'll try to input a quantity and it just closes the keyboard. Same when I try to select an option from a pull down.
The same web page works fine using the chrome app.
