I've got the Kenu Airframe+ and I think it's great, very simple and elegant solution. I've not noticed any instability with it holding the phone, but then I don't go offroading too much.

Just to clarify something about the magnet style car mounts, they don't actually magnetize to the phone itself. You have to put a slim piece of metal in the back of your case for the mount to hold to. I really liked the convenience of just popping my phone on and off, but it caused several problems with my iPhone 5. Because I used a slim fit case, the piece of metal made a bulge, so that the case didn't fit well, and wouldn't lay flat on a table, for example. Because of the small gaps it created, some dirt and dust also got into the case, and eventually scratched the back of my phone. Not good. :(

I do REALLY like the CD slot design, though, and I recommend that if you don't use your CD player anymore. I finally settled on the one below, which works brilliantly. I can use it with my naked phone or any kind of case, and it holds really solidly. It's also just as easy to get the phone in and out, as I can still do it one-handed. I really love this mount!

A question about that mount. It seems like cd mount is the only type that I feel safe since other mount will eventually fall off. I see the part that goes into the slot is quite small. Is it enough to secure the whole mount and phone?

Yes. In fact, this model comes with adapters to fit different slot sizes so it fits more snugly. Once you insert it, you close a lever which expands the pieces up and down slightly to make it more secure. The only issue people seem to have is that it sometimes blocks buttons or they can't get enough clearance to insert it all the way because of the things around the CD slot. It was hitting some buttons with mine, but I flipped it over and now it's fine.

I have this for my iPhone 6 and I love it so far. Seems very sturdy, it fit snuggly, and the adjustable phone grip seems strong enough to last over time. Definitely a bargain.

I'll second this. Best mount by far.

Ram Mount X-Grip Suction Mount for iPhone 6 Plus

I've used this mount for years. It's, by far the best I've seen.

- Great, powerful suction cup.
- Ultimate flexibility in getting the perfect position and angle (2 ball sockets each with freedom of movement in all directions, both secured by a single large wing nut, and unaffected when inserting or removing the phone)
- Quickest in and out with the X-Grip, which holds very securely

Koomus air vent mount.

Airframe is nice but you can't change the as many angles.( ie avoid reflections .::)

I have both , but Koomus is better (even though it's not as compact.

I also considered magnet mount but I don't want to stick anything on my beautiful phone nor Apple leather case.

The best mount system in from ProClip, I have been using this since my iPhone 4 and it works great. There model for the 6/6+ is due out soon.

+1 for this!

I have the proclip for my iPhone 5 and without a case on my 6 it still fits, albeit not 100% secure but I'm not even slightly concerned. The phone fits in the housing well and aside from some front-to-back sway it's a good fit. It does not rattle around.

Since the proclip is custom to my model of car it sits securely in place. I just slightly adjusted the holder to be a bit wider for the 6 over the 5 and its excellent.
