I just saw this morning that the Apple Card was launched in the US and decided to apply. I’ve been reading lots of other comments about the process and it seems like most people are approved in seconds, but it’s been almost an hour and I still don’t have a yes or a no...

I have pretty average credit, and I’ve been approved for certain things and denied certain things in the past, so I was expecting 50/50 results in getting approved, but I think it’s odd that I haven’t gotten any response?

Attached a screen of what I ended on in the process, and if I return to the wallet it says to continue my application and this pops up again.

Just wondering if there’s anyone else out there that it’s taken this long for? Maybe GS is just overloaded with requests.

UPDATE: heard back and was approved! Sorry for the now pointless post- though I’m the only one I’ve seen that it took over an hour and a half to hear back. I guess my middle-of-the-road credit was cause for extra review. Good to know that it seems like a real person is reviewing applications!

If you’re a member of UPS or FedEx, you should get a notification once the label is created. The Wallet app won’t notify you when it is shipped but you will see it if you’re in the app. The Wallet app will notify you on the day of delivery.

My score is like 650-680 (100% on time payments but high usage) and I was approved right away. Usually "extra" review means no but glad you where approved!
