Why don't you just stop posting in this thread and taking it off track...

In other words.... just go away.

And what are you contributing? Shouldn't you be shopping for pork-roll or something? I guess it's perfectly sane to value a phone over a human life. There's nothing wrong at all.

lol some of these replies are quite scary...talking bout guns and all...=/

Careful, if they don't like what you say, they might "have a couple of hollow points for you."

What they probably don't even realize is that governments rule best by fear. And there's a LOT of that in some of these replies.

It is alright to defend yourself. It is alright to shoot an aggressor (someone charging you with a knife for example). It is alright to protect your home from intruders.

However, shooting someone in the back for stealing your phone is plain wrong. Nobody deserves to die over a phone unless they are putting your life in extreme danger. If they are running away just let them go and file a police report.

You will have a VERY hard time justifying shooting someone in the back in a public place over a phone.

+1

I am not saying, at all, that people should just cower and hand their items over.

Although, turn the other cheek is something that I guess mmany of you may have been taught.

Hey girls, newsflash, you need to be concerned with criminals with guns not the guy in the iphone forum that says he carries a gun.
I know in your delirious fantasy land that no one hurts anyone and the gubment pays for everything but a lot of us live in reality so wise up and realize it.

Its not turning the other cheek. In most states you cannot use deadly force to shoot someone who is trying to get away. If you do, there is a good chance you will end up in a worse position than the person that took your phone. How often do you see police shoot someone running from them instead of chasing them? Hardly ever, as cops know you can't just shoot someone trying to get away. Citizens play by the same rules with guns.

Find my iPhone FTW. Just make sure to put up a passcode on the phone and the only thing they could do to block the service is turn the phone off. Just make sure to be quick about it. Once they've settled into wherever they're going I'm sure they'd probably shut it down.

I'm curious how its is even worth the trouble of stealing one. Each device has a unique ID hardwired into one of its chips, correct? Since you have to register the device as yours when you sign up for service, wouldn't that make it a fairly simple matter to figure out who is using your stolen phone down the line once the recipient of the stolen item tries to activate it?

Agreed!

Thank you, "Dawgfang". Be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot.

No matter were I go, there are always six items hidden somewhere on me:

(1) iPhone
(2) wallet
(3) keys
(4) concealed handgun permit issued by my state of residence
(5) Glock 26 loaded with 124-grain Speer Gold Dot JHP rounds
(6) spare magazine

Good luck getting my iPhone. ;)

BTW, no, I wouldn't shoot someone over a phone. I would, however, defend myself if I felt that my life was in danger.

You're quoting a section where I was talking about our own minority citizens and you reply with a statement about "our enemies".

You're not afraid to speak your mind, are you?

The more you type the less sense you make. The only racist on here appears to be you as you are constantly bringing up race and stereotyping.

However, shooting someone in the back for stealing your phone is the right thing to do. Steve Jobs would be very proud of you for saving the life of your iPhone from extreme danger. If they are running away chase them down and give him some "FaceTime" with your fist's!

Fixed :D

Would you kill an unarmed person trying to grab your phone from you? Shooting people in real life is a lot different than killing someone in a video game, and its something you need to live with your entire life.
