Couple of questions about CarPlay and a Honda CR-V...

1) Everytime the iPhone is connected to the cars USB port music begins playing. Anyway to prevent that?

2) When using Maps in CarPlay with music playing the music volume is not muted or lowered when navigation guidance is active?

Any suggestions, solutions with iOS 10.3.2 or 11 beta?

Ok honda’s are silly. To adjust the volume you need to basically turn the volume up at the right time. So turn your music to a nominal listening level.

When you talk to Siri and she replies turn the volume up whilst she’s talking. It’ll be stored and come out at that level. You can do the same in maps when an instruction is given.

Stupid I know but that’s how it works. It won’t turn the music down when instructions are given it’s not implemented at the mo with Honda.

Thanks for the replies.

Seems like such basic simple things for Apple or Honda to overlook?

A simple autoplay toogle switch, and more importantly pausing or reducing volume of music when CarPlay navigation guidance is given.

Agreed but you can defiantly point the finger at Honda on this one lol
