It is weird the way Carrot is lauded so heavily for everything except for its quality as a weather app. I gave it a chance for over a year with a paid subscription, but its actual weather data was regularly wrong. I finally cancelled and deleted the app off my phone after it showed me 0% chance of rain, and went out and it poured an hour later. About 10 minutes after it started pouring, it updated to show 100% chance of rain...no kidding.

The built in weather app is great for hourly forecasts, and My Radar is by far the best performing weather radar app on the App Store.

That's considered "humorous"? Dumb, grim, and sophomoric. Stopped watching after the comment about no head inside. Given how rampant violence is in the society -- including incidents of such gruesome brutality -- it's just not funny. It's not clever. It's the type of a thing a stunted middle-school boy would come up with -- and be mocked at by his peers for how half-baked it was. Most of them could have done a much, much better job of this.

By the way, I thought that Apple had finally given Siri natural-sounding voices. (That is, assuming it's true, as someone else posted, that this is Siri -- reading text.).

I don't use Siri, save for the English-accented concierge while using Car Play, but this voice is pathetic. "She" sounds stilted and creepy -- like an imitation of bad voice assistants. How come Apple still can't match the computerized voice from 2001: A Space Odyssey -- or, even the original Star Trek?
*zoooooom*
Jokes flies above this meatbag's head

I have ios15 and im using American English 3 which is a smooth talking black dude. It's really good at sounding natural, no lie.

I really enjoy this app. Despite being "just another weather app," it adds a lot other apps don't have. It has kept me coming back daily.

My experience exactly. I started using the Carrot Apple Watch complication (the large one for Infograph Modular) because it displays more info than the default one. However, I can't tell you how many times it hasn't synced until I've manually opened the watch App, and sometimes even afterward it seems to show weather for some other location (even though it shows my town) until I open the phone app. And even then, the other day the phone app insisted that it was partly cloudy when it was overcast and actively raining outside. The temperature can also be 10F off from the actual temperature.

I'm considering ditching it again. I'd rather use Weather Underground, but the developers have completely sat on their hands for the last three years. Not only is the phone app buggy and the UI terrible, but they just insist on NOT developing a proper Infograph Modular complication.
I might be wrong, but isn't part of that mostly an Apple Watch refresh issue with the draconian restrictions they've implemented? 3rd party apps can only refresh complications a limited amount of times per day, hence the issue. I've read all apps can only refresh complications 50 times per charge to 100%... hence the next Apple Watch needs better battery life. Please.

There's data I track that I want updated in a complication every five minutes, and it seems the only reasonable workaround is to push app data in to an iCloud calendar every five minutes and have the watch display the calendar, as Apple programs don't live by the same rules.

The creator of this app has to be a fan of KOTOR and HK-47 with the meatbag references. This was hillarious.

"We care deeply about the environment, that's why you cannot have a larger iPhone box that houses a usb charger."

*Sends an aluminum cube boxed in 3 layers of cardboard to meatbags for being amazing*

Sending out a few hundred of these is definitely a far cry from the millions of shipped iPhones. Then again, I’m fairly certain you are joking here.

Obligatory "you must be fun at parties" comment.

But yes, as has been pointed out already, this is the whole shtick of the app. It gets people talking. I mean hell, their marketing got you to write this tedious comment. I'd say this is a success even if you find it sophomoric.

No, I did not. I did not know I could do that, and frankly, could not be bothered. It's weather. If it isn't correct from the default source, then no thanks.
That's what makes this app amazing - that and the customization features. One weather source isn't going to be accurate everywhere. If I'm in Japan, vs Australia, vs East coast vs West coast...

https://www.forecastadvisor.com -- you can find the most accurate weather stations for your area - and most of these are available in Carrot.

Whenever someone says something is “just not funny,” it undoubtedly is hilarious.

As for the your comments on the quality of the voice, that voice is not Siri. It’s carrot. It’s intentionally bad.
