You still need to add the CARROT complication manually to your watch face via the Watch app, after you customize it in the CARROT Weather app. Third-party apps can't actually add their complications to your watch face.

And not every data source has access to AQI data - you need to use AccuWeather (in the US) or ClimaCell (globally).
Hi, I have an AW4 and on the Infographic dial switched from 10-hour to 5-day and noticed my AW4 battery usage went up. Does the 5-day use more battery power perhaps because it accesses the weather source more frequently? When I changed from the 10-hour dial to the 5-day, I also switch weather sources from Foresa to AccuWeather. If the dial/face affect battery usage, which one uses the least and which uses the most?

I believe when it says the wind is xx miles per hour, NW, that it means the wind is coming from the NW and blowing at xx miles per hour, but the wind icon, the one that looks like a compass, would have an arrowhead pointing NW, implying the wind is blowing towards NW?!

And just to make sure, the wind speed in parentheses means wind gusts, correct?

No, watch apps can't affect battery life because watchOS has a bunch of safeguards in place to prevent apps from using excessive energy. Just restart your phone and watch and things should go back to normal.

For the wind complication, the arrow *should* be pointing the opposite direction as the text, yes.

And the number in parentheses is indeed the wind gusts.

Which data source are you using? And what country are you in?

This was just added in the update from last week. It's available on the Infograph Modular face, just change the center forecast to 5-day chart.

Noticed this happening again (same actual and feel like temps).

Im using Dark Sky as source and im the glorious US of A.

Thanks.

What temperature was it? The actual and feels like are often the same when the temp is between 50 and 65 degrees F.

Can you just file a support ticket and let me know what city you're in so I can take a look directly? It's possible Dark Sky is returning incorrect data for feels like (though it's still possible the feels like is the same as the actual, too).

Will do. It has been working ok until i noticed it again recently.

There were days that'll behave this way but opening the app on the iphone seems to correct this. Unfortunately not this time around.

Thanks

I'm currently looking at an AQI of 25.1875

Is there some multiplication going on to convert between different scales? Might need to add in some rounding up too 😉

Fixed for the next update! For some reason, ClimaCell recently started including decimals in their AQI data.

I seem to remember that when you first started using their data for notifications the AQIs were off, and it seemed like they were reporting based on the US scale rather than Chinese one (I used to use another app that allowed me to switch between).

I wonder if that conversion is where the decimals are coming from (at their end)

It's possible!

I just purchased the Carrot Weather app for iOS. I cannot find an option to view Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously. The only reason I purchased the app was because I read that it is possible to view Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously. If that is true, how do I do enable that feature?

Haven’t come across a setting that would allow dual display of temperature units in iOS, although this review suggests it’s possible in the Android version. Hmmm...

Thank you for your reply. I plan on trying to get a refund for the app if it doesn’t have that feature.

Whomever is making that app is a highly talented person who creates complex, interesting, and entertaining features integrated in a clever way. If the developer can add all of those complicated things, then why cannot he add something as extremely simple as showing Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously?

If that feature does exist, then the developer did an astoundingly bad job by making it not easy to find in the settings.

MakerOfCarrot, the app developer, may well be along to answer your question in greater detail. You can also contact him via the Send Feedback link in the app settings menu.

Presumably you’re looking for some kind of “show both units” toggle.

In the settings under customisation, select “iPhone”. If temperature is set to display in Celsius, then Fahrenheit is a data point you can select to show in any of the available slots on the multiple types of view.

Yep, that's how you do it in the iPhone app. You can also do it in most of the complications on the watch, too.

(And it'll be a bit more obvious how to do it in the redesign.)

It's baffling that there are so many weather apps out there, some extremely creative like CARROT, yet practically all of those weather apps' developers are completely clueless to the fact that showing Fahrenheit and Celsius simultaneously would actually be a useful feature to many people, especially those who travel. Some people are trying to learn either Fahrenheit or Celsius, and this cannot be done without seeing them simultaneously to know what is equivalent to what.

The CARROT developer made many complex and nonessential (yet enjoyable and entertaining) features easy to access. Yet he buries the option of showing Fahrenheit and Celsius deep within the most non-intuitive and hard-to-find places of the app. What an awful design choice!

No offense but you’re the first person I’ve ever seen asking for such a thing. Instead of bashing the app put in a feature request. The developer is very active here and listens to his customers. That said if you’re the only one asking for a feature... I wouldn’t expect it right away.

I speak as a long time paying CarrotWeather customer. Before Carrot I was a WeatherUnderground user.

You can customize the Watch app (assuming you went for the first tier) to also show Fahrenheit or Celsius.

I do not see your point.

You mean it's in the exact same place where you customize the rest of the UI of the iPhone app? ;)

Under Settings > Units > Temperature, the only two choices given are Fahrenheit and Celsius. There is no choice given to display both simultaneously. Here are two screenshots for proof:
