I'd like to see you find something there that's over $200. I guess you're getting close once you get to the bags that hold 17" laptops. I use the voyager bag there on a daily basis and it was $100 and is definately good quality leather. Still meaning to do an actual review of it but the short version is the bag is really nice, the shoulder strap is a little uncomfortable without a shoulder pad.

I stand corrected. Nice bags indeed. I can't decide if I personally like them or not (borderline looking like a horse saddle or something). I wish the website had more pics though as the iPad bag they have looks like a hell of a deal. Thanks for pointing this company out.

Plenty of women agree with you, myself included. I think VB’s prints are hideous.

I saw some gorgeous leather bags by Adrian Klis while in British Columbia yesterday; a few models fit the iPad alone, but I didn't find one that worked well to carry the BT keyboard/origami workstation as well. But the shop I was at didn't carry everything they make, so it might be worth looking into. They reminded me of both Saddleback & Copper River.

I really like the particular carrying bag, a perfect balance of affordability, convenience and functionality.

Been using it for quite awhile now and really rough with it. It's holding up well. I have my iPad 2 in a hardcard candy case. I can toss this and it would come out unscathed. :)

I bought a Kensington case with built-in keyboard, version 1 since I have iPad 1, which works with both iP1 and iP2. V2 is better because it allows rotation of the ipad while the keyboard is in use.

And I am REALLY liking it. It allows for all kinds of configurations as far as how I lounge around. I can even lay on my back (like in bed), with the iPad straight up and down or even titled toward me a bit, and the keyboard laying down along my chest and stomach. The soft touch keys grab ahold of my shirt and keeps the ipad in a nice position.

And, the new case still fits nicely in the $15 case I got on Amazon as I noted much earlier in this thread. it took me a year plus, but I am pretty happy with the current case & bag, etc.

I got this John Rocha bag from a Debenhams store a few weeks ago for £26. The main reason for getting it was because there's about 3 different places to store an iPad.
Inside the main compartment there's plenty of room for it as it is, or you can put it inside a clipped pouch thats in the main compartment.
But something that's so much better, and it's where I store mine, on the main flap that clips over the whole bag it's sorta double lined, almost hidden, that goes all the way down to the base of the bag.

Highly recommend it!

Over two years since this thread started its still difficult to find a manly iPad bag.

I have a few messenger bags from Timbuk2, Chrome, etc, but just bought one of these in coyote (tan). Sorry, big photo link from their site.

In real life it is a great size. [it is not as thick as it looks on their site--they have it pretty stuffed.]

It is really well made. The well padded iPad section be tight if you have a thick case like a Portenzo, but my iPad fits fine with a smart cover and Incipio Smart Feather back.

I really appreciate that the interior pockets are actually usable. On so many messenger bags the pockets are sewed flat, so can't really hold much. Who has flat sunglasses anymore? Or power bricks? Really, a Timbuk2 might have a bunch of pocket options, but if you put anything in one of them the rest are almost unusable.

Finally, it has about the best strap I've seen yet. The extra strap on the photo is removable--just use the shoulder strap.

Tumi has a bunch of messenger and cross body/shoulder bags that a man can pull off pretty easily. Couldn't find the one I use on their site though. I also use a smaller day backpack when I need to carry more than my iPad around town.

my waycool handcrafted comix bag...

Hola all-
Just had to share this deluxe bag that my colleague & I made from my son's old hoodie. It's pretty delightful with pockets to hold my phone, wallet & such & a side compartment for my Bamboo.
Everyone who sees it seems to dig it the most & it makes me smile every time I wear it...

I love that bag! Absolutely stunning! So many "device" bags have zero style; this one is fabulous.:)

What brand/model day backpack do you use?

I just bought and returned a Tumi bag. Design wasn't bad but it was their lightweight series made from black nylon which was similar to the shiny soft nylon used in lady's handbags. Tumi must have new designers and I don't like their work. The product used to stand for form and function, now they're lacking in both.

I'm using a Gregory one...something like this:

Laughed so hard at this thread. Why would you care how you looked when you carry your iPad? Take solace in this: they may laugh at your iPad case but they can't afford an iPad.

I think there is merit in this thread. Just like a suit that fits right and good personal grooming, at least in business, much is done with a first impression. Be it man or woman, there are certain cases that work better in exhibiting professionalism and reducing geeky ness in the business world. Leather , for example, almost always works better in the office than other materials.

Now this looks manly, though maybe not the most professional for work! Could you fit a ~14" laptop in it along with an ipad?

I agree-this is not my work briefcase, but about perfect for around town. It's on my desk, so I can do a measurement or two. The photo makes it look bigger than it is. The main compartment is about 9" by 11 usable. The main compartment (under the flap) is also padded and has an optional divider like a camera bag. Should be perfect for a micro 4/3 photo setup.

This is from their website:
OVERALL EXT. SIZE_11.8" L x 9.4" W x 3.5" D (30 x 24 x 9 cm)
MAIN COMPARTMENT_12.1" L x 9" W x 3.1" D (31 x 23 x 8 cm)
BACK (ipad) COMPARTMENT_12" L x 9" W x 0.75" D (30.5 x 23 x 2 cm)

Funny, I have 2 Timbuk2 bags and a Chrome but the only one I tend to use is this one. Mainly because the interior layout is so usable, while keeping the iPad itself in a padded separate section.
