Hi jay, not here to debate. We all have our rights to voice. Period.

If you wanna prove something, take it elsewhere. Leave this thread alone.

You voiced your opinion. And I voiced mine, which is my right as much as it is yours.

I've been in your shoes a million times, where I order something that I didn't like or care for, and am forced to return it. NEVER have I expected a company to pay for return shipping and to refund my original shipping cost, in such a situation. That is absurd. Had you received a defective case, or one that was not as described, it would be a different story. However, to expect them to pay for return shipping and refund your original shipping cost, just cause you didn't like the case is unreasonable.

I agree there have been many cases I ordered and they weren't what I expected. It was never an issue to return within the parameters of the return policy. In most cases I had to pay for return shipping which is very reasonable. In some cases a restocking fee. Before you order most vendors have a return policy disclosed and I'm sure Case Mate has a return policy where you have to pay for shipping costs if you return it.

I'm really mad with the people at Casemate... Bunch of bullies.

Told them their screen protector is never going to protect the phone screen, like I mentioned in my previous post, and they just keep repeating like a answering machine saying their cases are tested and bla bla. Then they make me shoot a video to show how the screen protector would touch the screen...... Of course I have to show it with the protector half-shut to shoot the cross-section, in order to explain how the problem is present. Then after the video, they replied that I can do a refund or exchange but I would have to bear the shipping charges to send it back to them. They would further deduct the shipping and handling fees incurred when I first purchase from them, should I choose to do a refund. At the end of the day, they are going to make me a sucker who ends up without a case and paying for all those fees!!!? Outrageous!!!

I really how some can say their CS is good..... It's below average.

Btw, I saw another lady who posted her broken Tank at Casemate Facebook too..... Horrible quality!!!! She only had one normal drop and broke.

For the records, I've purchase case from other case makers as well.... Not to mention the marque, this company sent me a pre-revised version of their top-of-line case, so naturally I wrote them an email and with no other questions, they sent me another revised version of the case. No question asked! This is CS at it's best!!

I WOULD NEVER BUY A CASEMATE CASE AGAIN. Period.

Well done Casemate.... U just acquired yourself an EXTREMELY unhappy customer. Well done.....

They say the Tank has been tested and you say you're not sure it can withstand whatever tests.

Sounds like you're not confident in the Tank which there's nothing wrong with not being confident. So you have an opportunity to return it within the parameters of THEIR return policy....

Does their return policy say you have to bear the cost of shipping if you return it within the parameters of their return policy...

Yes or no?

Here's Case Mate return policy in black and white...

http://support.case-mate.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=2

It says 'The customer is responsible for the costs to ship the product back to case-mate.* We highly recommend using a shipping method that offers package tracking.'

US ARMY may make iPhone and this case as one of the standard equipments :D

But do we need this for daily life?? We r not in Afghan......

You obviously don't have kids. Every time I'm over at my cousins with her military brats, I'm always at Afghan. Sandy carpeting from the sandbox, military army men and cast iron tanks and planes scattered strategically everywhere, remote-controlled helicopters dodging from all corners of the room, dangerous spills from juices cups, watch-your-step because you may walk onto a gummy bear land mine, toxic fumes from diapers, and Bond Girl Secret Agent Barbie whose looks could sabotage a mission are all the reason why we all should get this case to protect us from the daily grind.

Got Link?

However though, these military brats are the best group of fine young soldiers an uncle can ask for. They're adorable and make me laugh.

Not to ignore the above post, but what happened to the guy with the .22 :D

Completely forgot about this thread. I've actually been away from the 'net for a while due to hospitalisation.
I didn't get chance to shoot it, but it's back on the agenda.. I'll do it tonight or tomorrow. :D

That's too bad, hope you're better now though!

I don't expect the case to stand up to it, but who doesn't like to see stuff get shot at :D

Lol, I know this post is old, but I just happened to come upon it and I had to say it made me laugh so hard, much props!

I came upon this thread searching for Tank reviews, because my 11 year old son somehow managed to break his tank practically in half . I don't know how the hell it happened, all he does is keep it in his pocket all day. I bought it less than 60 days ago, so I'm hoping they will let me exchange it based on their warranty. Honestly though, it's not all that tough compared to some other of the military grade cases, although im sure it is more protective than the average case. I had bought one for myself too, but it was too bulky and I got bored with it, so I use another case as an everyday case (the Rokbed v3 with magnet kit and remote mounting system, love it!), and keep the Tank on standby for when i will be doing something outdoors or something that will require extra protection for my phone.

Really don't understand. So you basically don't like the case so you want a free refund without paying shipping and handling? Sure makes sense...

First of all I had the case for my 3gs and I can tell you absolutely it will protect your phone from everyday use. The way the slide door works is that if something were to fall on it or if it were to fall on a sharp rock it will take the damage and dissipate it. Watch the videos on sharkeyes site... They drop steel balls onto the phone. Those videos look pretty legit to me. And having owned the case, it did protect my phone extremely well. I don't see what you expect from the screen door... like what kind of accident are you planning on having that you don't think it will protect your phone from lmao?

If your going to shoot it with a gun YEAH OBVIOUSLY its not bulletproof... everyday use? I gaurantee you have nothing to worry about.
That being said I dealt with sharkeye when they were still selling their own product. Now they have collaborated with casemate and their cs is prolly crap from what people have been saying.

Heres a review i did back in the day for my old 3gs.

P.S. To add to your point of there not being enough space to protect the screen... That's NOT how it works. It doesn't protect the screen by having space in between... it absorbs the impact. Just like any other case, how come when you drop the phone with a good case it won't crack or shatter? Because the case absorbed the impact. But theres no space in between the case and the phone is there? Once again I ask what are you planning to do that the sharkeye, an extremely thick and durable case will not protect from? I gaurantee you if the sharkeye can't protect your phone, nothing else will... maybe try a vault.
