I have a combination of a Waterfield sleeve and invisible shield. The shield has been useful, going through airport security.

I always keep a case on mine. I use the Speck case. I actually like to look of the all black...

Wow, that looks amazing. I've always liked the black macbooks, and this makes it look like a giant black-book. However, I would still prefer no case at all over that case.

I just picked up the Speck SeeThru hard shell (17" unibody MBP) for when i bring my notebook to gigs. At home I probably won't use it unless it doesn't bother me. It came in the mail today and I plan on doing an unboxing/install video tonight.

I use a Booq bag. I have the Python Bag with the Vyper Case. Its a sweet setup. More pockets than you can use.

It may be on the pricey side, but it keeps my 17" unibody well protected. I just traveled from Washinton State to Kuwait....not a scratch. When I am at work, my MBP sits in the vyper case to keep the "talc" like dust we have over here off it.
