Case or Sleeve For 11 Inch?

I just received an Incipio Sleeve for Macbook Air, which I ordered from Amazon last week. I love it. It is incredibly thin and light, and it's very easy to put the MBA in it and take it out again. I see that this sleeve is now on backorder, so I'm glad I got mine when I did.

Not bad, but not the "like a glove" custom fit I was hoping for. I'll wait until Crumpler or Incase comes out with a neoprene sleeve... neoprene is much better suited for a form fitting case on a slim laptop.
What does a guy with 6-pac abs and a girl with a nice back end and a nice rack wear to the beach? NEOPRENE wetsuit..

I want my macbook air 11" to show off it's slim, sexi figure. Comon Incase\Crumpler, let's see you release a slip, on wetsuit so I can show off my baby.

No it's not, as evident by the photos. Suade by nature isn't a stretch material... so they have to make the design big enough to be able to accommodate sliding in the laptop in either side. Look at the photo, there's enough room to slide a second one in (albeit a tight fit) in reverse direction. I thought suade an odd choice of materials... hence why you never see any other brands making suade cases. They aren't a good case material, provide no shock resistance nor water repelling attribute, and don't stretch to form-fit. Hence why almost all sleeves are neoprene, as it handles all of the above.
Oh, OK... What do I know, I've merely got one. The only reason you think it isn't tight fitting is because of the tab on the end where the loop is. You do not know what you are talking about, I'm afraid. Look in this photo... The tab makes the end look open, but it isn't past that tab. It fits very nicely. I think you simply have issues with sfa.

You can see as the air enters the suede part fills out over the air. The notion that they make it big enough to fit both ways is ludicrous. The outside distance of the air is the same whichever way round it is.
Guess your opinion trumps the photographic evidence. I think SF Bags is a shady, horrid company, but that doesn't mean I can't give honest feedback from the photos. I think crumpler is a crappy company but I buy their products because they fit. I don't let opinion of a company sway my buying decision... well generally not. Either way, Suade isn't a good material for a case. And going by the photos YOU provided it sure looks to be much less form fitting than neoprene.

... I love how people feel entitled to express their opinions about how much they like something and why, yet they get their panties in a wad when someone expresses why they DON'T like it. Should learn that not everyone is going to have the same style. I will say it's an improvement over your 1980s briefcase in the background, that was a good upgrade A+

Actually, I merely tried to explain that it was a good fit, contrary to what you said. And leave my 1980's bag alone.. That's traveled more miles than you'd imagine. West Africa, India, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Egypt, Bulgaria, the US, Cuba, etc.
I'd imagine so... one can see every country in the planet in 30 years, haha

I have one of the SFA suede sleeves as well and it is NOT tight fitting. The Air slides in and out of it with little effort, and I'm sure if I pinched the bottom and turned it upside down, the Air would slide out.
That being said, I like it and will probably get their sleeve with the flap.
Well, If I help the end of mine and turned it upside down, I'm sure it would fall out, but that wasn't quite what I meant when I said tight fitting. I meant it retained the shape of the mba, without it being floppy, or having extra space. I have an incase neoprene case for my ipad, and if I held that upside down the ipad would fall out. Tight fitting does not mean the same fitment as squeezing it into a condom. It merely means shaped to fit. It's not a baggy old sock. The air slides into the sleeve, and there isn;t any excess left over. The only bit that is not 'tight' is the bit where the loop is attached, as that section is strengthened.
Agreed. We probably just have a different perspective on what tight is. LOL.

Seriously need a quality Air 11inch sleeve
I received a MacBook Air 11 Inch as a gift and love it. However, like many of you, I'm surprised that there are virtually no third party cases or sleeves. I've gone to a number of Apple Stores and they all say the same thing: they don't carry anything for the new MacBook Airs!
Any suggestions for a good, thin case for the 11 incher? Neoprene?

Takes time to perfect the sleeves/cases for new products, the MBA aren't the same size as a 11" netbook and thus, most of the cases won't fit it. It has to be redesigned for the MBAs.
Apple tries not to let other companies know in advance the sizes because they do not want to reveal their new products too early.
