I am sure most/some of us can afford that case BUT most of us see it as "why". We sometimes go overboard with our little gadgets but buying this would be going WAY overboard, imo.

Yeah there's definitely a difference between being able to afford the case and just throwing away money. That's just too much. I mean, if you spend something like that on the case then I'm gonna need another case just to carry it around cause I'll be scared to mess it up.

I seem to be reading more about cases then anything else at the moment.

I seem to be narrowing my choices down based on looks, weight (very important the case is slim and lightweight) and functionality.

That leaves me looking at the Scosche Foldio 2, STM Skinny and Toblino 2. Does anybody have any opinions on the relative merits of those three?

I'm also interested in any info on UK retailers stocking any of those (I appreciate that the Foldio hasn't been released yet).

The Toblino 2 is really the best case out that bunch I think. I am fairly certain the Scosche doesn't have sleep wake magnets, and the STM case has that silly strap to close. Toblino 2 is sweet, much like the Marware Hybrid 2 case but leather. Go with that one.

The ultimate in no bezel coverage is the Vaja Libretto. Comes at a hefty price though.

Just received the Chinao Brown faux leather case for the iPad 1 (vaja agenda clone) that was posted earlier. PIECE OF CRAP. Smelled like paint out of the box and had an uneven finish. Looks and feels like it was spray painted. For $50 I was expecting it would be soft to touch but it's very rough. It doesn't even stay up in the movie viewing position. Very disappointed, I will be returning this ASAP. I'll have pictures up soon. DO NOT BUY THIS. All of the review videos on youtube must be shills.

I purchased mine about 5 weeks ago and there was no smell. Also, I believe the finish is supposed to look uneven. The product pictures on the website where I purchased it from are exactly the same as what I received. I think that is the design. Mine stands up fine in the movie position. Also, I only paid $40. I won't post where I purchased because I don't want to be accused of being a shill:)

Toblino 2 is excellent. Been using it since early last week and highly recommend.

I interest in stm skinny and toblino. Just don't like the way it doesn't cover completely. OP link actually is good for people who's looking for case since all the links are there to check out cases.

Cyber Acoustics has the new iPad 2 case listed on their website. Also a similar case to CA's but more colorful can be found at Maroo.com
+1 on those -- look pretty nice.

Also I'll suggest this AYL case which looks and feels like leather but is tougher, lean & minimalist. I've been very happy with mine. No autopower-on-open, though, if that's really important to you.

I like the way the CA can stand without any protrusion sticking out front and its dressy styling, but I also like the lean/minimalist style of the AYL.

Original iPad owners

Saw this great case, Bluetrek LostDog Slim Case Stand for iPad 1. Love the dog and am crushing on this case. Can't wait til I need a new case. It's available at Amazon.com

This thread relates to iPad 2.

Full retraction on the Toblino, after thorough review this case has some major flaws. For the money it's just ok. I returned mine for several reasons mentioned in another thread. There are mixed reviews on it from owners, some like some don't.

All of it comes down to what you expect and iPad case to be.

FitFolio

I picked up a Speck FitFolio at Target this morning. It doesn't fit very well with my PhantomSkinz back protector, but I think this might be the case I'm going to stick with. I really like the look of it and (surprisingly) the red color. I may end up removing my PhantomSkinz after a few days if I decide to keep this case.

Does anyone here have the SGP Griff for iPad 2 yet? I'm thinking of picking one up for my wife's iPad. It's a leather back (like the Belkin Snap Shield) and works in conjunction with the smart cover.

Here's a quick youtube demo they posted of it...
