sorry couldn't resist. All i saw on the MacRumors summary on the side were things like "ata or sata" "xbox or mac" etc etc :)

Anyway, worthwhile question. Answer it.

Me - Dog. But must have a big hard drive.

I thought this was going to be a thread about what genus the next generation Mac OS will be named after. I don't think it could be dog, assuming that it has to be a wild species (fox, coyote, dingo, wolf ...?)

Anyway, I'm dog person.

No, I mean cat. Dogs can be stupid.

No, I mean dog. Dogs are loyal and fun, cats are aloof and unpredictable.

No, I mean cat. Cats really like me.

Oh, I don't know, can't I be both?

But all the cats with OSX so far aren't exactly house pets....dogs for the most part are, with a few exceptions...

OSXI - Hyena?
OSXI.1 - Wolf
OSXI.2 - Dingo....

For an OS name, cats are fine with me, for a pet, I'll stick with the dog...

Cat- low maintenance and despite what some people think, very friendly a loving when raised correctly and treated with respect.
Not if you have a litter box.....

I enjoy going for walks/runs with my dog, throwing the ball or frisbee and swimming/boating/kayaking....not something you'd do with a cat.

I'm still partial to Dingo
I think Greyhound may be more appropriate, although there may be some hesitancy to link it to an aging bus company...

Maybe a Whippet instead...

The Whippet is the ultimate sprinter, unsurpassed by any other breed in its ability to accelerate to top speed and to twist and turn with matchless dexterity.

Is Dog the next generation of OS X?

OS XX - 11.1 Alsation!!! :p
I'm a dog person also, have been all my life. Can't remember ever being without a dog.

I would certainly second or third the motion for Apple to use dogs as the code name for the next generation Mac OS after X.
