Why is everyone not mentioning step one of the cleaning process?

Get rid of the cat!

I'm confused:(

The cat was on your desk, so wouldn't the crap land on your desk? The monitor was perpendicular to the bottom of your cat's ass so the **** should go down to the desk. How did it go sideways :confused::confused:

I was picking her up so she wouldn't get fur on the display. And she was rubbing up against it's warmth.

I never understood people and their pets. More hassle than they are worth and this thread is proof of that. Don't believe me? Make a list of everything you have to do to keep a domestic animal (including costs to feed and maintain), then make another list of what you get in return.

If an animal ruined any of my computer equipment, they would ... well, I better not say. But hey, don't bash me! I actually love animals!! The ones that are in the forest or roaming the range far away from my computer.

Yeah, I never understood people and their love for having babies. I mean, so much hassle taking care of them, cleaning them, feeding them, paying for their medication, school, college, etc -

Finally they leave and if you're lucky they'll take care of you - but most likely, they don't. Is it worth it? I don't think so. But people have pets for similar reasons - they get unconditional love (can't say the same for human kids) and get to cuddle something.

Also, scientific fact that they reduce stress levels greatly. I know I look forward to coming home and seeing my kitty purr and rub up against me and I just want to squeeze her.

Fun, companionship and their de-stressing capabilities far out weigh the financial cost.

This does not work in the case of cats, BTW.

50/50 water and rubbing alcohol. 100% cotton cloth. I clean all my LCD's with this combinations and works great every time. hopefully it get rid of the smell too, and yeah bad kitty!!

I see what you tried to do there. You are trying to compare raising a human being to owning an animal. Sorry, your comparison didn't work, but thanks for playing. Although, I have to admit one thing. Some people treat their pets better than other human beings. Go figure.

where on the display, the side, the front, the top.

if it is just the front, then I would get some baby wipes (scented ones, These are made for cleaning poo poo), wipe it down, then using a dry soft cloth wipe the streaks away.

Baby wipes are awesome, I clean everything with them, In Iraq, I cleaned my M16 every day with baby wipes.

for scented wipe I recommend Pampers scented, they have a strong nice poo illuminating smell

That's not the first thing I'd suspect someone to clean any kind of weapon with, but if it works, then by all means, do it.

It was a bit on the bezel and mostly on the left side of the actual display.

Obviously you are not a cat lover. Personally, I love cats. Especially with soy sauce.

That's a JOKE! :p Lighten up, folks!

But don't even get me started on dogs ... (yuck, even WITH soy sauce!)
