I was always under the impression that people with the 12.9” were experiencing similar issues. If that’s not the case then I may be lucky. I have a JETech coming next week...fingers crossed.

I didn’t misalign anything.

Although my Jetech one works fine so I’m guessing there are either two different types of screen protectors out there or there are some iPad screens that are just working differently and don’t like them.

The Face ID issue is obviously the fault of the screen protectors but I would love to understand what’s causing the responsiveness issues.

I have a glass screen protector that fully covers my cameras and have zero issues with face id. However I do notice decreased touch sensitivity.
 
I hate to admit it, but I returned my iPP today and bought myself a 2018 13" MBP. I love the iPP, I just don't think it's quite ready to replace a laptop yet. Hope everyone here finds some glass that works. I will keep an eye out too. Cheers everyone!
 
I use a Sparin one for my 9.7” Pro. I really like using screen protectors for the oleophobic properties and to keep the screen in great condition. This is kind of a dealbreaker for the new Pro.
 
I just filed to return the IVSO one I bought -- didn't install it since it doesn't have cutouts and nobody else was having a good time with these screen protectors.

Probably going to go with the Sparin one sometime next week. I'm paranoid without a protector, but I do like the feel of the Pencil on the glass this way -- less "slippy" for drawing, so I might think about it a few more days. 🙂
 
For all Australians looking for a glass protector, I tried the $60 Cygnet one from JB Hifi, had it installed perfectly and also got the dreaded "camera covered" error 🙁 I returned it for a refund. I really hope these companies release updated versions

JB HiFi have them in stock now? When I saw them the other day they indicated it could be a couple of weeks before they see any.

Yep, they do. It is the only one they have, think they got stock in on Friday. Shame it doesn't work properly 🙁
 
Aren't Belkins meant to be 'approved by Apple', or so they say?

The fact they sell (& apply) screens for iPhones in store backs this up.

I'd say when they release their screens for the new iPad Pro, they should work?
(& be very $$$)...
 
So Amazon is shipping my Sparin (updated version with larger cutout) for delivery today. Thank goodness for Free One Day/Same Day delivery. I won’t have to wait until middle of the week now before I can use my new IPP
 
Not sure whether this is the primary cause or a potential solution to this "unresponsive screen" issue.

After applying various screen protectors, there are times that the screen starts becoming "unresponsive".

I think there are some things in common as the issue occurs:
1. The iPad Pro is in a Folio
2. The iPad Pro is placed on a plastic surface or cotton material
3. The user only use one hand to touch the screen

I propose that when your screen becomes unresponsive with a protector on it, you simply need to use your other hand to touch any part of the bezel and maintain your original touch operations with your right hand.

i.e. use one of your left-hand fingers to touch any part of the black bezel and the screen responsiveness will be back to normal as you touch with your right-hand fingers.

My conjecture is that when the iPad Pro has a folio on it, the electron accumulates to the top of the surface which causes the unresponsive issue.

Wow. I’m impressed. Just tried resting the iPad on a cushion and I get the responsiveness issues. It’s not terrible but it’s annoying enough.

Thankfully I’ve been using it since release day and not noticed this so I must be holding it in such a way that I avoid the issue.

I’m screen typing on mine right now while it sits on a couch cushion in my lap and it’s catching every character no problem. So far the only solution I’ve come up with to stop the touch sensitivity issues is take the protector off.

Did you have a protector on and then take it off?

I’m considering taking mine off as well. I’ve always put them on all my devices but I am very careful and have an Apple Folio case on it.
