Firstly, you've not proven anything by posting pictures of websites (which coincidentally seem to have all been coded by a different person, unless you like to change your spacing and tabbing on a regular basis.

Secondly, personal attacks are against the rules.

I'm the one being attacked.

Read my post: "I've attached jpgs of sites that I design all by myself. "

It's called design. My designs done in Flash give you a blank piece of canvas to work from. Maybe you don't use flash that much.....don't know. Looney Tunes was not coded by me but the rest are mine.

I really don't care if you don't think that this is my work that I posted. I'm a creative and I program and I direct commercials and I edit commercials.

Let someone step up and say they did the websites that I posted.

I am attacking your unsubstantiated claim, you are attacking me personally by saying as a student I am a lesser person.

Designing websites still requires HTML. Assuming you use the same application for each website, this code should be generic, and have no discernable style differences (in the code).

The burden of proof is on you, not on me to disprove your wild claims. What's so hard about posting your portfolio website? As a web designer with as much pedigree as you claim, you should have one.

I do have my own website and as a student you have no problem calling someone out. I never said you're a lesser person.

Again because you don't know here it is again. In Flash you have no restrictions on your design unless you are embedding element into html.
So you have no generic code to work from. Make sense?

You make comments on Flash and you don't know this??

I don't need to send show you my website to make comments or make a comment that I'm a web designer. I'm proud of my work and I'm the one that posted work that I've done.

What the hell are you talking about? You will be designing these websites in dreamweaver or whatever you choose, part of this design may or may not be the inclusion of flash. Regardless, there will be a generic style in the underlying code.

Furthermore, for someone so proud of there work you seem incredibly reluctant to show any proof of it. It's a lie until you prove it as truth, your word on an internet forum is not good enough.

Dude open flash on your Mac and tell me what you see. A blank work area.
You can design a full site totally in flash. The swf file is embedded in html and that it. No generic style to work with. Do your homework on this. Your wrong.

Did I miss your link to your website? If I sent you mine you would say I didn't code or design the work.

You simply don't get it...

re: my websites, here you go:

As far as your own website goes; it only has to be consistent with what you have posted so far and I'll believe it.

And how has this point ever been relevant? I'm talking about the entirety of design, while you seem keen to avoid it.

You said my sites must have been coded by other people. When I pointed out that that's not the case in flash you had no clue. What am I avoiding?

None of your sites are entirely Flash, they have HTML sections to them do they not?

Across all of these sites the style of HTML (and javascript when used) are contrasting, indicating that the designer either used a different program for each one or (more likely) a different person created each one.

Problem?

Wrong again.

Looney Tunes: (Top nav html, middle Daffy section and left nav all Flash)
Lord of the Dance: All flash (html is only holding the site, no Java or html design element at all).
Choice Point: no flash at all. Javascript.
Frieze Consulting: All flash (html is only holding the site, no Java or html design element at all).

Take a look at Nike Golf http://www.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikegolf/en_US/

All the Flash areas have no Java or HTML influencing any of the design. The lower section is not flash at all. Left side nav, middle section are all flash.

So in my samples that are flash you have zero HTML or Java style.

Peace - I never, ever said that flash is absolutely necessary for websites. I design and create. Any website is only as good as the ideas behind it. If flash is not ready for smartphones yet that's fine. Nike and other big companies love flash and use it in a very dynamic and creative way. Seems like a lot of people on these boards have a problem when someone supports flash. I started in web working at Disney and then Warner Bros. creating flash animated cartoons, games and sites. What's the problem with this?

You're failing to understand the context of the word "style". I'm done.

No you have no style on these sites from html or java. The design is all in Flash.
look it up. You have never used flash have you. When all the text and all the nav and all the images and all the content is in flash then you have no html influence.

Style of code vs Visual Style. Once again you miss the context.

Hes saying that FLASH is not possible without the HTML/PHP container and/or some CSS. Its just how browsers work.

If you got a website url and add /index.html or /index.php it would most likely be the same.

Put It Back In Your Pants Please

this is NOT a thread about the pros and cons of Flash as a design tool. Please stop trying to make it one.

geesh.

html5

Will be very interesting to see what happens to Flash within the next few months.

Also, will this HTML 5 work on the iPhone? (sorry if this has been answered earlier)
