Well, I can confirm for sure that the two Nest apps I've made (Thermo Watch, and Watch Cam) do work - flawlessly - over LTE on the watch. I just came back from testing them They in fact worked even better and faster than when the watch is using Phone's BT connection.

Just wanted to say that Watch Cam works much faster on the Series 3 due to the faster processor. Haven’t tried it with just cellular connection yet but glad to hear that speeds it up too.

I recently worked on a cellular/WiFi only Watch App for my iOS/macOS todo planner app Planny. Will be released soon Doesn't require any phone connectivity, just a data connection and iCloud.
Much more advanced than the standard watchOS reminders.
