So the battery is non-replaceable and last two years. Is there way to see the battery status? Does it alert the user when the battery is low? I imagine that’s a crucial feature if you’re considering this product.

Why not just use an AirTag? It’s got a replaceable battery, has a smaller footprint and costs less. I put mine in the small pocket between where my cards are located and the back on the wallet where I also keep a spare house key and a USB thumb drive.

People even do that with phones. I really really don't get it. I don't want to sit on anything when I am sitting. How can that possibly even be comfortable?
Since I got my 12 mini, I've moved my phone to a back pocket most of the time. I just have too much c r a p in my front pockets (including my wallet). One reason was to keep stuff from scratching the screen. It's not uncomfortable at all, but I can see how people think it's weird! I've never thought about myself "fondling" my backside!

I was actually thinking about getting this tracker and getting some of the useless stuff out of my wallet to make room, but lack of family share is more annoying than the bulky wallet I would have.

Out of total curisouty, may I ask I you have kids? I was fine putting my stuff in the same place for years until the kids came along - and learned to use a stool as a ladder...
Kids are grown up and gone - it is just me and my wife and two dogs. I may need to put an AirTag on the Jack Russell.

Hmmm... I'm 64 years old and I’ve never lost a wallet, phone, keys, eyeglasses, remotes, etc. No brag, just fact. Maybe it is just the way I was raised up to keep track of stuff.
Yeah, what gives! Didn't Chipolo consult with this guy before designing a product he doesn't need? What a bunch of boneheads!

I dunno, I'd rather get this AirCard thing https://aircard.rollingsquare.com and NOT buy a new Chipollo every two years. Sounds like an unsustainable and environmentally unfriendly ripoff (not sure if they do recycle or not).
They do recycle. I'm pretty sure it is to minimise the thickness of the card - like Apple when they stopped having user-replaceable batteries in their laptops.

Thanks, I already got a 3D printed AirTag holder shaped like a credit card. Cost me like a buck fifty.

Are analog wallets still a thing?
It's where I keep my licenses and credit cards, because those aren't available to add to your phone yet, and Apple Pay isn't universally accepted yet either.

1. I wonder how much more expense and thickness would be added if it had been made Qi-wireless rechargeable (even if you only need to recharge every 2 years.)
2. Tell me about the bright blue wallet in the photo. Where can I get one like it?

Can these be shared so multiple family members can track and locate the same device?
Not so important with this wallet tracker but if Chipolos spot trackers support this then that would be a selling point the AirTag doesn’t have.
