If we have to have them I will say that an older design car as an electric has far more appeal than the fugly new designs we usually see made or even proposed.

The Ace reminds me more on the Alfa Bertone. I like it: Small and (hopefully) nimble, traction where it‘s supposed to be (rear). Noone makes a car like this these days
Yes, I agree. Todays cars are big monsters, overweight (not to speak of the electric cars, where only the battery weight at least 500 kg) and massive. They simply have no soul.

The above mentioned Ace also reminds me a bit of these older cars:

Ford Escort Mk2 (or Mark II series)

FIAT 131 Abarth series

There was a version with only one headlight, not sure of the number tho.

A bit similar to above is the Fiat 128 (1969–1985) or the Yugoslav licensed version Zastava 128.

True. There was a similar Toyota back in the 70s if I remember correctly. The last car that somewhat fits into this category was the BMW 1-Series. Like, the 135i with the twin-turbo inline-six

What a terrible name. iUD would be better than iVD, that could've stopped the birth of this abomination

I feel like Audi has a more Apple-like industrial design than BMW but Apple and BMW have been cozy in the past.

The name "i vision dee", especially with the dee in that silly yellow font can NOT be serious. I think its an elaborate troll to kill interest in electrics by making them seem goofy and overpriced

BMW is pretty well invested in the EV game now. The i7 and iX are very nice vehicles but the charging speed and range is mediocre. Still I would not bet against them. They’re going to get better at charging speed and range quicker than Tesla makes a cabin like the i7 or iX.

Apple Car rumor refused to die unlike Apple Television. Anyway the closest we gonna get to Apple Car is going to be Sony Honda car if it ever comes out.

I suspect a lot of car manufacturers are going to feel this way.
