I'm trying to consolidate all of my email to go to a single email address in my custom domain, and apparently Apple email receipts/notifications only go to the Apple ID email address.
I've logged in, and I see the current apple id address and desired in Apple Id email address in the "REACHABLE AT" section, but there isn't a link to change my Apple ID.
Some websites say that if my email address is already at one of icloud.com, me.com, or mac, then I cannot change my Apple Id.
If that is the case, I might need to go with the nuclear option of deleting my Apple account. It's there at the button of the account settings page.
I'll read up on what deleting and recreating an Apple id entails. I with that there was an email way to change where my Apple Store/App store/etc receipts were emailed to. If you know of an easier solution besides email forwarding, which I tried and didn't work well with my email rules ), please add it in the comments.

Apple does make it difficult to change your primary email address. I learned early in my IT career ( 30 years ago ) to generate unique identifiers for user accounts, so that they were not tied to information about the user. That way they can change their name ( example: get married and change last name), title, email address, phone number, physical address, etc without needing to change their user id. It looks like Apple missed that class.
