Well then they really need to call it GSMCarrierChanger cause CarrierChanger is just misleading.

Wow... So you are saying the author of the app should change the name of his app to please a few bitter people that choose to do business with a CDMA only carrier? First of all... do you realize that most of the world is on some variant of GSM and CDMA is the minority. The authors of the app may not even be from the US... Which would be even less of an incentive for them to cater to the hurt feelings of CDMA carriers.

It's like saying that a grocery store shouldn't be able to advertise that they have candy bars for sale because even though many can get one, you can't because you are diabetic.

Basically... GET OVER IT!

Most of the time when you're looking to modify the carrier in the status bar, you are looking to do just that, MODIFY the carrier in the status bar.

If I click on a thread that says "Change Carrier Logo Without JB", what do you think that means?

Oh, so you mean that the ChangeCarrier program CAN'T actually change the carrier?

You actually have to have a certain carrier. That's just redundant.

Yes, but only if you had a certain carrier to begin with. That's redundancy.

If jailbreaking was still alive, we'd all have our own mods in our status bars.

Hmmm... The original post of this thread links to an article that fully describes the process an the limitations. Specifically states that all carriers are not supported. So you cannot blame the thread creator for misleading you. Also you cannot expect the authors of the "CarrierEditor" program to give the program some long winded name like "CarrierEditorExceptForCDMA" to make the minority like you feel better. They could have named it anything. Do you chastise the creators of Handbrake because you got confused into thinking that it was a program that would allow you to stop the momentum of a moving vehicle? Your arguments are absurd.

Wow, there is a programmer who created an app that allows the MAJORITY of us to change the carrier logo without JB for FREE, and instead of thanking him, someome has to piss and moan about it. Good lord.

See. "If jailbreaking was still alive."

Jailbreaking isn't alive for the moment, but at least there are smart people out there creating cool programs that allow for us to use other carrier logos within the restrictions of an unjailbroken iPhone. How can you complain about the author of a program unable to do something because of no fault of his own, but the instead the fault of a technical limitation of a particular cellular technology. There is no limitation with a jailbreak because you have total access to the phone's file system. The JB isn't available so just live with it. Like others who are living without Winterboard or BiteSMS. You are just being sour because you are unable to participate because you are on a carrier who's technology of choice doesn't permit it. You kind of have that childish attitude, if I can't be part of the fun, I want to ruin it for everyone else.

If I were you, I would demand a refund for whatever you paid for CarrierEditor immediately if you are unsatisfied!

Um, this is way out of line. I have researched CarrierEditor extensively and the main problem with this app is that it only works with certain companies. Why should that matter.

An iPhone is an iPhone is an iPhone.

I'm going to wrap this up now because I already had the thought that this probably wouldn't work, but I just think that using the actual carrier to change the carrier is redundant, like it defeats the purpose.

Well I mean we don't have much of a choice at this point with no jailbreak available yet. I really don't get why you're complaining, haha. The way the carrier names work differ from carrier to carrier, that's why Sprint and T-Mobile USA don't work. The developers of this app did pretty much all they can, so if you don't like it, just get out? -__-

how about these please 1080?

This one would be perfect out of the three. Thanks for your help. If not no worries. I know youve had a ton of request.

1080p if not asking too much, could you take a shot at this when you get time?

Thank You.

Apparently I should have had a drink before I checked in on the thread today. I would have said two drinks, but that would be redundant.

@ 1080p:

Does every logo needs an etched version? I tried to do an etched version of the AT&T logo that's on the first pages of the thread and it doesn't look right.

Is this guy for real? The misconception thread is almost as ridiculous as this.
