The same question was asked when the iPhone 6 came out and I said that the phone was designed to draw 5W of power and that using a 10W or 12W charger would still deliver only 5W, therefore taking the same amount of time to charge.
I was wrong.
Apple made a change between the 5S and 6 which allows the latter to draw up to 12W of power for a faster charge. I wonder whether the watch can do the same.
