I really hope 'danmcq' isn't a 6 year old playing around on daddy's Ipad..

Sounds good though, if I had that kind of money I probably would have built a Tim Cook wax figure and brought him with me to my nearest Starbucks :)

Last time (and it will be the last time) i bought a round of coffee in *bucks it nearly cost that much and the acorns they grind up must have been off as it tasted like ******
Lets hope who ever wins the bid does get a decent cup of coffee for all that dosh (and a biscuit) will that be regular or large the dumbest question you could ever have in a place that serves coffee, anywhere that serves decent coffee will ask you what you want not the bloody size of it.

The problem is the wax statue would have ended up in the coffee...and no one would have noticed!!

No bids for media clowns like David Gregory, Piers Morgan, Dan Rather and Regis Philbin. Love it. :D.

I hope he's paying for the coffees :p

So the actual bids are genuine then? I've seen charity auctions etc get trolled by people, it's not fair on the charity or the people benefitting

I guess the bidder is Tim Cook himself.
Finally he can have 30 minutes alone with noone asking about future Apple products.

Don't you all know that aside from running the biggest tech company in the world Tim Cook is a highly desired escort. I hear he's very good at what he does ;)

For 500 grand I'd expect coffee and a 3 course meal. And who in the world would want to meet tim cook anyway? It seems like a really dull person.

At least jobs seemed like he was always excited.

500k? Imagine if Jony Ive was listed.

Makes me wonder if the 500k bidder is a journalist of some description.

This just seems so silly to me.

This is a huge publicity stunt both on the part of Apple and on the part of the winning bidder. And I was always taught that charity comes from the heart and not for personal recognition but it appears the 'winner' really wants to be known so lets just throw that charity/humility crap out the window.

I'd rather have a thread on Google vs. Apple or MS vs Apple or Android vs iphone than this ********.

To quote Bart Simpson....'Meh'.

It is so tempting to up that bid...if only I had the guts to.

You are confusing "guts" with "stupiditiy". If you are capable of paying $600,000 then this stunt would cost you $600,000 minus tax savings. If you can't pay, you will be bankrupt. Apart from that, a charity would lose out of some major amount of money.

Why don't you start one, rather than criticizing those who want to post on this thread???
