Only tracks 14 and 18 downloaded for me. And the code cannot be reused to try again.

The album should show up in iTunes under your Purchased albums.
You can download it from there.

However, I can't get tracks 1, 4, 15 or 17 to download.

I'm having the same problem. I noticed those songs were already released, but the entire album is still pre-order only. My guess is there's some bug that might get sorted out when the album releases? Not sure, but it does suck that they tell you that you get a free album, and the first song on it (which is a current hit on the charts) isn't one you get.

It's right in the title and in the article... it's says "David Guetta".

If you're trying to figure out who that is... there's Google or Bing. These search engines usually are great ways to find out information that you're lacking and in need of.

The funny thing, is that they are trying to lure people in with a promotional gimmick that requires people to use a search engine just to find out what they are getting.

It would be a better promotion if it were an album from someone who is in extremely high demand. Someone that people instantly knew.

If I have to use a search engine to find out who this guy is, then obviously I am not going to care whether I get his album or not.

As for the success of this promotion.... I think it's most significant accomplishment was generating a ton of Google searches which netted Google a bunch of money on advertisements. Good job Chase, your promotion was a huge success for someone not even connected with your gimmick.

I just got this email. Seems to have been a bug.

Is this the new model that the recording artists and companies are going to use to promote their A and R?

I think I am getting old, but I don't really have much interest in getting free things that I don't want.

If I was given a credit to buy something that I actually want, that would be a much better incentive for me to do something. (For example, Delta gives me skymiles to incentivise me to fly with them, they don't give me free records or t-shirts... and I like it that way.)

(I also know, that the studios have paid consideration to Chase to promote their album, but what is the value of the promotion to Chase (besides revenue from the studios) if the enticement doesn't entice???)

Clearly you have no clue who he is. He's actually French, and is a world famous producer and songwriter who also happens to Dj.

Further, he's even bigger in Europe than he is in the states.

He's a dj in the states who makes some really crappy and over popular pop songs with zero originality or imaginiation

To me this 'free' is so much better than the forced on trash that was the U2 album. It's free, I've liked the album, and its a win personally, and I probably would've gotten this album some other way. Maybe not enough people understand that people's tastes are their own. But hey it's the internet lets criticize everything.

Hypocrisy much...?

Do people really not know who David Ghetta is? I'm not a fan, but I thought he was a household name.

I seriously question your musical acumen if you're suggesting that David Guetta's a household name.

----------

Pierre David Guetta, better known by his stage name David Guetta, is a French DJ and producer of electro music.

Google Titanium or Lovers On the Sun

A lot of his songs are pretty epic.

His music is lame.

Agreed. I much prefer your more original works that the majority of people have yet to really discover and properly appreciate. What was the name of your album again?

He's a well known French DJ, he's been a DJ since the 1980s to early 90s when nobody knew his name outside the club sub culture. So, he's been a DJ for more than 25 years... Rated near the top even before he became popular in the mainstream. I've known about him since the mid 90s.

Top DJs make a lot of money just spinning records these days, they don't even need to release anything in the mainstream.

He's only been known to the mainstream since 2009, that's just 20% of his entire career.

----------

I don't like this genre of "music" however, for the folks that like Auto-Tune singers, I think its pretty cool to get a free album to add to your playlist legally.

Many dance tunes have not much vocals, they're there mostly as another layer in the mix.

You're not missing anything...that is of course if you enjoy the type of dance/pop top-40 music that 12 year old girls love.

Again, he's been doing club music since the 1980s... Way before 12 year olds were interested in that. Unless you think 12 year old went to raves in the early 90s...

In general, EDM (various styles) is not really pop at all in general, only a few variants are.

Got the album, then someone mentioned fries, now Im going to use apple pay at McDonald's to get breakfast.

Yeah but his stuff since 2004 has been catered towards the mainstream. So in essence the dude is a sellout.

Not hating on him--everyone's gotta eat right?

The way the labels are pushing people these days makes me want to vomit. We would never have heard of any of the top 1x artists if it weren't for labels solely promoting them, and no one else. And they're popular because we're dumb. This is so backwards. They're supposed to be popular because WE tell the labels they are, not the other way around.

The problem is apathy. The same problem elections have at the polls (the electorate is put there by 25% of the people -- because only 25% of the people vote.)

Very valid point and well stated.
