Then again Chase isn’t known for value for their customers they’re known for convenience
Agreed. I now think of Chase the way I used to think of AT&T before I switched to T-Mobile for a significantly better value. And Capital One has sort of become my T-Mobile.

that is great cash back deal. Which card is it?
USAA, which is not available to most people. But I also have that deal with Fidelity, which did a benefit match once I sent them the cash back proof from USAA. The Fidelity also is contingent on having at least 20K in purchases a year, but they do pay the 2.25%. I use it for my business so the purchase threshold is met in a month or two just with computer purchases.

Thanks, yes I can't get USAA but I should enquire with some of my banks about matching offers. I did that with a promo rate from PNC that both capital one and chase were willing to match.

Boy, it is a pain in the neck (or other anatomy) that we have to complain or ask to get something. Nice or lazy people just don't get anything. Like always having to threaten to leave your ISP provider to not get hammered with whatever new fees they come up with.

Sorry off tangent rant.

I am all about rants, no apologies needed. But yeah, taking care of yourself and your own business does take more time and attention and focus than it should. But my cash back per year pays my HSA and my Roth contributions, so it was all worth it. But then this tax year, 2025, supposedly will have credit card companies issuing us a 1099 for the cash back. Best of luck.
