AI is useless? Why? Explain. I am genuinely interested in your position.
I'm not the person you're replying to but I do find generative/LLM-based "AI" to be useless. Why? Because it fails horribly at pretty much every task I give it. Just the other day I was trying to turn a screenshot of a weekly event schedule into an ical file or even just a more usable text file. I tried ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini, and each of them fell short of what I was asking them or messed up int heir own special way. It wasn't that they couldn't get the info out of the screenshot or interpret it, it was that even when given step by step instructions, example formats, multiple attempts, etc, they simply couldn't do the job, or if they did manage to output things it was full of mistakes they seemingly couldn't correct.

It took less time to do the job manually than it took me to negotiate with the LLM tools and come up short. This isn't an isolated incident either. As much as I dislike these tools I'll still use them if they benefit me, but every time I throw one of these things a menial, rote task that they should be able to do, they simply can't. If that's not useless, I don't know what is.

Of the useless tools, Claude seems to be the least useless, followed by chatGPT, then Copilot, with Gemini trailing faaaar behind.

First of all, my SIRI is always turned off since my iPhone 6,6s,7,ipX,11 Pro,13 mini, 14 pm, 15 plus and 16pm.

Next, I don’t even NEED chatgpt or any other AI STUFF like copilot or ask-meta functions in Facebook etc. these are just something that is unsolicited and unwanted, at least in most user case.and the copilot icon and meta-ai icons in the apps are simply distracting, can’t even remove them.

AI is just a hype , like seriously. I’m sorry if I offended you. Please accept my apologies and im entitled to my opinions

I’m thankful to apple that apple Intelligrnce and Siri could be turned off.

The quality of human-written text on the internet had degraded over the past 20 years, which ingrains the laziness into everyday language.

The quality of the internet degraded remarkably when they opened it to the general public. When it was just universities, tech companies, and the military, every one had a higher level of education and it showed.

So many people write "to" when they mean "too". It's infuriating not to have an opportunity to correct them in places like this forum because it's "against the rules".

“To” vs “Too” is a simple typo. Don’t correct people. When they use bad grammar or misspell words, it shows their thought clarity and depth. It also tells you you don’t have to read their entire piece. The last thing you need is well-written, well-argued nonsense that requires double-reading.

AI-generated text will begin to expose people to correctly-written text, which should help raise the knowledge level again. It's a good thing.

It will help some people and that is a good thing.

The chatbot is a great toy. If you are trying to do serious research it can help you brainstorm an outline. But it lacks integrity concerning details— not knowing when it does not know. The software is cool. But the database contains inaccuracies and holes. Its writing is wordy, redundant, boring. You must vet everything.
