Sorry, but I don't think you have to be a guy to find it ugly. It's not just the design but color too, and way overdone. For me, my laptops should be silver, black or white -- period.
I
am going to apply the military-grade InvisibleShield which is thin but very strong and gives a slight gloss and grippy feel. It can be removed and leaves
no residue. It is the most expensive (but best) film out there. The military uses it on helicopter blades to prevent damage. I have it on my GPS touchscreen and can use both fingers and stylus with ease.

If you want to change the outer design or color temporarily, try the new snap-on shells by Speck or Incase. I may use the Incase black shell when they come out for the new MBP when I do DJ/VJ/KJ gigs with all my black audio equipment and also providing an armor against impact out on the job, where moving & packing lots of equipment quickly can be hazardous:

Otherwise, I will have that completely scratch resistant InvisibleSheld top, bottom, sides and hand surface w/trackpad, the iSkin ProTouch for the keyboard to prevent oily wear, discoloration and hair and dust getting lodged around keys (clear/frost color)

...and even an exact custom-fit sleeve like this one, that still fits nicely in an outer bag or carrying case:

I also ordered the new version of the LaptopLaidback. I have the original solid maple version, but this black acrylic one is lighter for transport and matches better. It also fits in a full-sized computer case.

There, I think I'm totally covered!
