I wish my series 0 ran that fast
I was half disappointed when I bought my Watch on launch day, after playing with the demo and trying one on that was also running demo software. Of course, notifications and many system functions were buttery smooth and useful, but others like Maps loading or the camera remote were anything but. Third party apps? Yeah, no.

This is indeed a good post. The design behind the presentation should be much appreciated

Almost bought one of these, but for a good condition and working one, the seller wants $1,000 now. No thanks.

would be nice if they introduced the ability to activate/sync/manage apple watch from iPad
Yeah.

But forcing you to get an iPhone in addition to your iPad just to be able to use your Watch is nicer for those who matter the most to Apple, its shareholders.

I'd gladly use an Apple Watch Ultra only and ditch my iPhone entirely. The battery life on Ultra is enough to last a full day on LTE:

But obviously, untethering Watch from iPhone defeats the entire purpose of the iPhone-exclusive accessory, to have iPhone eat even more shares of the smartphone market.

Independent Watch or Watch on iPad is mot likely to ever happen. Well, not unless some government enacts a new regulation. 😏🇪🇺

One can dream.

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was an iPad with an ultra thin bezel sitting next to a Watch on a white pad.

Just look how beautiful, clean and uncluttered that watch face looks.

If only they would include more watch faces like this in watch OS.

Agreed, anyone else lament how WatchOS went from a design language based on quickly glanceable, high-contrast information that can be navigated with simple broad gestures, purposely different from iOS,

to what we have now with slow animations with tiny buttons & poorly organized information you have to constantly scroll through multiple screens for.

I feel that Macrumours posted this just to remind us exactly what an Apple Watch looked like a decade ago.

that looks like it's just the Modular face with the grayscale theme.

I wish they would allow third-party faces finally

Yep, you can duplicate it easily today, it's just Modular.

And it's ridiculous that I can't get the time with seconds unless I use that stupid Activity face with those stupid rings on it or use a seconds widget that isn't anywhere near the rest of the clock. I want to be able to design my own.

The only thing I hate is that they changed how the buttons and gestures work in 10. Incredibly annoying, change for the sake of change, and demonstrably worse.

You want that face today, you can have it. It's just Modular in gray, it's the face I use most of the time with different widgets and in color.

The iPad should adopt the same curved edges of the screen that the iPhone currently has. Looking at the square corners of the kiosk make that more noticeable. Even watching a movie is nice when the edges are rounder, gives it a retro tv look.
