I go nuts whenever I go down south. There is just no sense of urgency from anyone for anything. I think they baked in the sun too long. Oh yeah, they're also too ****ing polite. :D

You're misinterpreting southern politeness.

You know how they say "**** you"? "Well, bless your heart". ;) Not joking. Ask Tomorrow.

Minneapolis.

it's a "nice" city but not in the same league

Sunny Los Angeles California

On Monday my car read 100 degrees after a day in the zoo

Yesterday it was 80 and windy can't beat that temp during the winter

West Coast:D

Yuck, the traffic and smog make me sick. I do love san diego though... to visit. I would get bored quick though

When I was in NC a few months ago, I was taken to Cracker Barrel. We were seated, given menus and a waitress didn't come over for about 10 minutes. When she finally came, she said, "Y'all need some more time?".

I replied, "More time, where I'm from we would have been served and gone by now." :D

You know how sometimes the funniest stories are the ones that are true? :)

Yeah, you can hear someone say "Bless your heart" and really mean "You idiot!" Often after you do something like hit your thumb with a hammer or drop something sharp on your foot. :D

Chicago ... Cubs. :D
Never been to NYC, went to school in central NY but I would not want to live where I went to school.

Upstate NY is like the midwest. No one wants to live there. :D

hahah is Syracuse upstate? I guess it is more up than central.

I'd live around Long Island if I had to move to NY. I don't think I can live in a busy city for long.

Between the two...Chicago all the way. But I'm partial to St. Louis style :D

I've never been to Chicago so I can't say for sure. :( In general I prefer thin crust but pizza is pizza. :p

"Pizza is a lot like sex. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good."

Can you tell I'm kinda really hungry? :D

New York: rdowns
Chicago: leekohler

Hmm.

Someone mentioned London up-thread in comparison to New York. I've lived in London for over 20 years and briefly visited New York recently. There is no comparison. London feels far quieter and smaller. Didn't find New Yorkers rude at all, just big cityish, all seen it all before and in a hurry.

I'd live in NYC if I could.

I kinda get the London/New York comparison. But London is quainter.

As for people being rude I also didn't think that at all when I was in New York and same thing in London. :) I thought everyone was pretty nice.

Yes I am hungry and I shall go to Pizzeria Uno this weekend :D

I say Pittsburgh. Its one of the more important cites in America's history, yet it seems forgotten by many. But if I must pick one of the two I'll say New York.

Woah now... ;)

wow this has a lotta replies :D

I'm considering visiting either New York or San Francisco for my spring break for a week, and while I've always wanted to go to NYC, I think we'll end up going to SF which I have no problems with.

I've been to Chicago three or four times, New York only once (but I had more time to explore).

I like walkable cities with a lot going on - I seemed to be taking more cabs in Chicago to get around - so felt more comfortable in New York.

Chicago pizza is definitely better though.

Tokyo is better than either (and London too! :) )
