Because people in democracies don’t buy domestic products?Unless China suddenly becomes an open Democracy(which isn’t happening), Apple will continue Losing sales there.

Does any of it matter? Companies have been viewing countries as juristictions to be navigated rather than an entity in and of itself. Apple are a worldwide company in every sense of the word. They are as much chinese as they are Indian, European and American. It would be better to call them a 'Terran' company for all the good it would do.You didn’t answer his question. You claim “Apple is a Chinese company.” He asked..
What’s your answer to that question? And clarify your definition… because on the face of it it seems to be it’s a Chinese company if it has elements of manufacturing or logistics support there, regardless of what else it has elsewhere in the world.
Nail on head. Folding phones, whilst a cool bit of engineering are a little bit 'Windows Sideshow' for my tastes. The high end and the larger margins are the only place for real growth. $400 Android handsets are now such good value it hard for anyone to stand out.I’m tired of this ‘lack of innovation under Tim Apple’ trope. Mobile phones have plateaued, just like laptops. There is not much to be innovated. Flip phones are a new form factor that might catch on, or fade away. Samsung and the like experiment with new form factors in public, Apple in their secret labs, but they are clearly still in the experimental phase. The more mature a product, the harder it is to innovate.
As for losing market share: smart phones are good across the board and Apple does seem to price themselves out of the market. I personally wouldn’t mind them having to focus harder on high end features and dropping the mid-tier market but then again, I don’t run a trillion dollar company😅
And this is exact reason why US government banned most Huawei devices from networks. And if anyone tries to bring them into US, expect long interrogation at Customs and Border checkpoint before they let you go.Meanwhile, Huawei's comeback is predicted to continue, with the Chinese company continuing to develop and extend its own operating system, HarmonyOS, designed to rival iOS and Android.
I don’t think it is the customer’s job to come up with ideas for innovation. Just because you cannot come up with new ideas doesn’t mean that under different leadership the iPhone couldn’t be light years ahead in innovation.I’m tired of this ‘lack of innovation under Tim Apple’ trope. LOL because 7nm chips are smaller than 3nm? hahahaWell, Xiaomi and Huawei both passed Apple in hardware eons ago.
Massive price rises would be due to exchange rate which even Apple doesnt control...For years, under Cook, Apple products needed to be just good enough, nothing more. Lack of innovation and barely noticeable changes in both hardware and software over the years were left up to Marketing to amplify and spin. This is the result of Cook’s priorities and they’re finally starting to bite. Frankly, I’m surprised it took this long, but the competition hasn’t been compelling either.
I expect iPhone sales to decline in Europe as well due to massive price hikes and non-dependency on iMessage.
I’m talking declining sales due to price hikes. The fact that the iPhone 15 Pro starts at €1200 and goes up to €2000 due to “inflation” is of zero concern to the customer. Apple is ultimately responsible for the final price and customers respond accordingly.Massive price rises would be due to exchange rate which even Apple doesnt control...![]()
For the same reason, while I never owned a Palm device, I wish for Palm OS to return as an alternative to iOS and Android.I know it will be limited to china, but a 3rd OS option will be good for competition. I hope it's successful
this has nothing to do with democracy, this huawei favoritism is a reaction by the chinese consumer from all the anti china agenda by the west. Its a losing battle. Unless China suddenly becomes an open Democracy(which isn’t happening), Apple will continue Losing sales there.
If Apple were a Chinese company then the CCP wouldn't have banned iPhones for govt employees to encourage the purchase of phones from actual Chinese companies. You do realize China controls Apple's data centers in China? Tim sold out a long time ago. Apple is pretty much a Chinese company
There will be no alternative mobile OS if it cant launch with all the regular social media, banking, games, etc. apps people expect to use. Thats one of the main reason why Palm OS and Windows Mobile failed. For the same reason, while I never owned a Palm device, I wish for Palm OS to return as an alternative to iOS and Android.

They’ll make up the revenue with the sales of the oled iPad pros. Not gonna lie, I am sort of happy about this decline and I am saying this as an idiot that gave into buying an iPhone 15 Plus myself (my iPhone 12 Pro Max is still doing great and I honestly hardly notice a difference besides the battery obviously being much better).
Time for either a price drop an / or more innovations besides just further camera improvements
I see many Chinese buying iPhones in Japan and bringing them back. Yes, they get them past costumes at the airport. Its a losing battle. Unless China suddenly becomes an open Democracy(which isn’t happening), Apple will continue Losing sales there.
