Hi guys I just bought a new MBP with 10th gen processors recently and i'm experiencing choppy scrolling on safari with websites like reddit and gmail. Also with applications like WhatsApp and some animations around macOS. Is this normal or there's something wrong with my Mac? Thanks!

On reddit users also report choppiness on the new MBP 13. Might be something wrong with the reddit itself. So you are not alone on that issue.

We are all on the same boat on this. It happens on Reddit/Imgur/while seeing a 4k video and trying to do something else.

The only way to fix it in my 16" is to force the dGPU.

Just purchased MacBook Pro 13" 2020, and I fill like there it doesn't get you 60fps when scrolling.

System-wise it's fine, e.g. there is no spikes in CPU graph, etc. but it just driving me crazy, I thought maybe it's something wrong with my eyes. Does updating Catalina help? Or should I try to change it?

Hiya, have you had any luck with this? Ive got the same computer and having very similar issues. It runs really fast however it's just the animations which are sometimes worse than I would expect. I feel like some sites are worse than others e.g Facebook is always super choppy for me.

Thanks

I use Smooze with these settings:

And it's a million times better since there is no laggy animation, only instant line skipping. The scrolling feels way more natural like this. It's also only affecting my mouse and not my trackpad so I can scroll both ways depending on preference.
