It is a little depressing that this is the top app, isn't it?

Oh, well. I suppose the developer has brought smiles to many faces.

I'm sure the increase in sales has nothing to do with all the stories on the web about it.

I try to write innovative, fun-to-play games, and I spend a lot of time doing so to get it perfect so my customers enjoy it. Then this guy comes along and writes an app that appeals to the base nature of humans and gets roaring success!

My new game, Linx has only seen about 200 sales but it has some great reviews and lasting, addictive gameplay.

I refuse to lower myself to the level of 'writing a fart sound app'. I wouldn't feel happy doing it.

I mean, congratulations to Joel Comm, but please people, no more fart sound apps! The iPhone is better than that.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at things), the typical iPhone user doesn't necessarily represent the typical Apple user. However, it's definitely a "gateway drug", if you will... and will lead people into the Apple "lifestyle". Be prepared to welcome some douchebags into the elitist computing circle.
