I have not used google search in many years, I'm guessing at least 10, I use DDG for everything. I use youtube but only in private windows as to minimize what it can see.

You may not care about them collecting, tracking and selling YOU but I do and actively try to minimize their chances of collecting, tracking and selling ME.

DDG isn’t even close to Google, trust me I’ve tried to switch and use it as my primary search engine. It just doesn’t come close. Again fully well knowing who I’m in bed with, that’s how I use my Google services. And I can honestly say it enhances my internet experience

That is your opinion. DDG works great for me and its focus on privacy enhances my internet experience.

I can honestly say it enhances my internet experience

Good for you, as I stated earlier if you are ok with them collecting, tracking and selling you then have at it. I choose a different path as I don't care to be sold.

One day you will look back on this, and realize nothing was safe when using the internet. Google doesn’t keep it a secret what they do, how they conduct business and how they make their revenue. You will learn one day it’s the other companies you trusted through the years that let you down. lol don’t csre to be sold

I have repeatedly wished you well with your Google life, I just choose not to join you.

and realize nothing was safe when using the internet

Never said the internet was safe. What I said was I try to minimize how I am collected, tracked and sold.

Google doesn’t keep it a secret what they do, how they conduct business and how they make their revenue.

Which is why I actively avoid them as much as possible. Don't use facebook either.

You will learn one day it’s the other companies you trusted through the years that let you down.

I don't trust any company to act in my best interests, again I just try to minimize my exposure.

lol don’t csre to be sold

What is so funny about that? One can easily minimize the amount of data collected about them while some things can't be avoided, we all make choices. Enjoy your Google services, I'm happy for you. I'll stay over here, equally happy, with the services I choose.

It's a simple matter of the devils we choose to bed. You choose something, someone else prioritizes something else. It's simple choice and priority. No one can be called out for choosing Google over DDG or DDG over Google. They are doing what they want to do. All that can be done is what Apple did - tell users that this app will track them - do you want it? Go ahead! Who are we to stop? Don't want to be tracked? We can help you there.

That’s kinda my point. I love and use Google services daily. I fully well know all my search history is stored somewhere. Guess what, I don’t care.

I know they read my emails, again it’s free I don’t care. I just don’t anymore.

The services Google offers, they do it the best, and it makes my life better.
You might not care now but if someone decides to steal your identity and steal your home from under you (Title Fraud/Theft), you will care 'truly, madly deeply'.
IMHO, it is up to each and every one of us to keep our information and that of the people we care about safe from the likes of Google. They (google etc) have just one thing in mind and that is to make money off of the data that they steal from us day in, day out.
I'm sure it won't be long before your public profile is used to determine risk when getting insurance for just about everything.

If only apple picked up their game when it comes to apple widgets, safari search widget, contacts widget, message widgets and so on.

But I’m being called out for using Google. It’s good. And thnsks but I don’t need your help.

No one called you out, you came after me in post #21 simply because I choose to avoid Google services when I can. You started this mess.

As I have said, YMMV, enjoy your Google services and have a great day.

Well, I am sorry if that is how you feel for other members' behavior that you were being called out. And no, being replied to does not constitute attempt to help.

I find it odd that someone would use the Chrome widgets when you can use spotlight search (which you can have search web through google) especially in the picture MR used, two search bars? Granted, I think a majority of iOS widgets are relatively useless, not much info at a quick glance vs just opening the respective app.
