When you scroll down to the comments, the link posted by the dev is exactly the same as in my post above, found on the FreeSMUG web site. Same link, same dmg. Go for either one. I have been using it for about 30 minutes, sees very stable and fast. Nice to have all those security updates working! Here is the latest version via the dev. Not sure what you mean by the "SF website" (Source Forge?), but my post was about the FreeSMUG HP http://www.freesmug.org/chromium#toc1, which does have a link to Chromium 44.0.2403.89,For me it's version 44, on the SF website, it's version 43.

Confusingly enough, there is a link right below that to the 43.0.xxxx.xxx version you mentioned.
In any case I believe the SF site is not working or has only the latest 43.xxxx version.
You found the 44.0.2403.89 version so you are up to date. My intention was to make sure other readers could find the right link to the latest version easily, and my post was not aimed at you directly, sorry for any confusion there.

As soon as Safari can provide me a way to sync my bookmarks, passwords, etc. across 3 different platforms (Mac, Windows, and Linux), then I'll give this a serious look. Until them I'm pretty much stuck with Chrome. I hate it, hate it with a passion. For example, I have Gigabit internet at home, under Chrome using speedtest.net, the max I can get is about 500-600Mbit, however under Firefox and Internet Explorer I get the full 950+ that's expected. Other items are just as slow and it really makes me wonder what the heck it's doing behind the scenes. If I had a choice, I would, but I don't want to try and use third party tools to semi make this work. With Chrome it's just seamless sadly..
I've been using Opera on my various devices over the last 3 weeks. I agree.I have removed Chrome,Safari, and Firefox from my 2008 15" MBP, may be this dated machine, DK, but OPERA
Is a real speed demon, really FAST!!!!
Yes it does, it's a version of Google Chrome w/o the spy bits, not the nightly version. So does Chromium sync all your chrome bookmarks and across all other computers and devices? Does it still have the casting options etc? I watched a vid on it but still didn't really explain the difference when it comes down to stabilization, speed, smoothness, memory leaks? Does it fix all that?
Checked out some other browsers but didn't really do much for me.
