Chronic Dev-Team Announces Untethered JB for iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak

That has been fixed as of beta 6. I'm on 4.2.1 untethered and everything works perfect.

Guess it will soon be time to get my broken power button replaced under warranty!
 
Nice. This should bring an end to all the put up or shut up banter on twitter between MN and the team.

Where does dev team "announce it"? All I see is a YouTube that's got several inconsistencies with a legitimate jailbreak.

So there's no WiFi showing active, nor is there a SIM card inserted, yet Cydia loads. Riiiiiiiight.

Not being able to see if you're connected to WiFi or not is a small bug to you? It'd be cause for me to not see if connected to a cellular network or not.

And they have announced/displayed the untethered JB on their site.

Not sure about the details,bugs or inconsistencies but they're not the ones to put out fake videos or other nonsense. They are the ones that brought us Green poison and they have been working on this for a while now.
This is just proof, it doesnt mean the final JB may or may not have the same issue;)
Dont be so quick to judge, you put out a JB so we can all pick on it if its not perfect....

Some people are just negative like that 24/7
They're given something for free that others put tons of work and countless of hours of effort and you got a few nitpicking and talking trash instead of beeing pleased and thankfull that they finally will have an untethered solution.

While I find it odd too that they don't have a sim card in the iphone that doesn't make the jailbreak any less valid. Cydia loading has nothing to do with a cellular network being available. You seemed to tie the two things together in your statement.

Go Chronic! I've supported them. Nice to see competition among the teams.
 
Gah! Is this live? It appears there are valid DL's on the greenpois0n site, but i can't access them from work (behind a filter). looking at it on my phone, it appears thee are files to be had! Anyone try/gonna try it? I'm nervous to give up JB 4.1 to go to 4.2.1 and get "stuck." Either way, imma hang back and enjoy the ransackery! Good job guys!

Those links are for the last version (rc4, rc3), not the current 4.2.1 untethered version.
