Someone with a YouTube account trying to pad their views and revenue with false information and link bait ? No way!!
I still don't get the video. If you are going to show it what's the point of just holding it and putting it down and holding again as that doesn't really show anything. Why not at some point have something next to it to compare size. That's basically the basics of what should be there.

Because if they compared it to something it'd be to obvious that its an iPhone 6.

Why can't they just make all 3 sized phones with the same specs and let people just buy the size they prefer? Make the bezels smaller (top and bottom especially) on the 4.7 inch phone you might actually be able to do away with the 4inch phones all together. I so hate how long the current iphones are.

Probably because it would lead to too much cannibalizing. If you can get the same phone specs you'd probably have a lot of people getting the smaller screen because it's cheaper.

Nothing gets pat the MR crowd does it..

Has to be a iPhone 6s.

I guess Apple never thought been down the avenue "people may want something a bit different"

Guys, I'm actually fairly certain it's real. Why?

I did a screen capture and did a ratio of measurements based on the one thing that has to be a constant; the SIM sleeve cover. Granted I may have been one or two pixels off, my math tells me that a 6s sim door is 0.115 of the phone's height. The screengrab, best estimate, is 0.134 of the total height. That would indicate the video has a phone of 86% of the height total over the 6s. The ACTUAL difference between a 6s and 5s in measured height is that the 5s is 89.5% of the height of a 6s.

So count me in on this being probably true. That said, I don't guarantee my measurements or my math.

The angles and perspective are making this rough. But taking photos of a 5S and a 6S from roughly the same perspective, the 5S scales almost exactly in width to the alleged 4" leak. More importantly that's keeping the home button at the same size. When scaling the 6S to the same width, it's considerably shorter, and the home button is much smaller. Keeping the home button the same approximate size on the 6S gives the proper proportions to the 5S, being slightly taller and wider.

It's hard to say, the speaker grille doesn't really add up, as the speaker holes would have to be much smaller on this new phone than they are on 6S, which is not impossible but doesn't fit with the approach they took between the 6S & 6S Plus (i.e. adding/reducing holes but retaining size).

The headphone jack doesn't really confirm anything either, because if they leave the taptic engine out of the new 4" phone, they'd probably still have plenty of room for it, though if the removal rumor is true, I'd think this new phone would be the first to drop it in order to reclaim the space, and emotionally prepare everyone for it, not to mention ensure there are plenty of products ready when the iP7 comes out.

Anyone who follows leaks knows how to spot a fake: If the hand doesn't have disgustingly long fingernails, it's holding a fake.

My brother recently bought a 4 inch iPhone 5 and he had to switch to a iPhone 6. The 5 was straining his eyes.

Back to 1GB of RAM. Oh yeaaah. It was enough and it will always be......

......

......

People said the same thing about 640k of RAM. Apple could save a ton of money on parts alone and really make shareholders, environmentalists, and general users happy if they reduced THAT much - assuming prices actually trickled down to compensate...

Also, isn't it even the slightest bit odd how often these leaks come out, which is something a company in a highly competitive field that often complains of competition stealing their ideas would NOT want leaked out for every shiny new release? Apple could easily switch vendors, among other means, to make things more tightly sealed. I doubt Apple is quietly enabling and/or providing subtle advertising schemes.

Macrumors... can you ducking Google up something before you write?

It's an iPhone 5s "converted" to an "iPhone 6 mini".

You lazy ducks!

Doesn't really look like the speaker and microphone and lighting port openings are positioned quite the same way that they do in the video from the article (which is closer to the placement on 6 or 6s). Duck indeed.

If it has an A8 and 1 GB or RAM, it had better be one heck of a *budget* phone! (i.e.: really cheap!)

If Apple is really serious about serving the phone-sized-phone community of users, then it had better have an A9 and 2 GB RAM.

Apple would've made a lot of people, including people I know, happy if they had come out with a 4" version of the iPhone 6 (same design) last spring.

Looking at this image and the article's bottom view image you can clearly see it is an 4.7" iPhone 6/6S.
A 4" screen body wouldn't have the exact same layout, since the smaller body would probably have about 4 holes for the speaker, or smaller space between.
This came from Chinese and they are designed to copy, make cheap quality and sell cheaper. They are not good at paying attention to details like what you mention so it is fake. But, importantly we all know what that 4"er iphone will look(iphone 6,new ipod) and internals. It is meant to help users move from their current 4S/5/5S phones to newer tech iphone to support ApplePay and VoLTE..

I would love to go back to a 4" size, but I'm not buying a new iPhone that has the same specs as my 2014 iPhone 6. A9 and 2 GB ram and I'd gladly buy one.
If you like smaller version iphone like 3 out of 5 in my family, than you will buy otherwise it's just a talk, jibber-jabber on net. Those who still using 4S/5/5S and more comfortable like smaller footprint iphone don't care big tech jump long as main features(ApplePay,VoLTE,etc) are covered and user experience is still great as any iphone(IOS).
