I know what you mean i will probably use this even more than the MBP and that was quite a lot. If i am going out for the day i might take it with me and tether it to my 6s if needs be. I also have about 4 or 5 holidays a year where i do quite a lot of walking with a backpack on, so now i might take the rMB with me its that small and light, it really does make the MBP seem massive.

They are both excellent laptops in their own right, just each suits slightly different needs, i think the rMB suits mine more though.

Bathroom isn't very steamy, i always have the window open and the extractor fan on. In the past I've hooked my iPhone up to a bluetooth speaker when i go in the shower but half the time i couldn't be bothered, with the rMB is is just so easy.

I think i have definitely talked myself into keeping the rMB and selling the MBP. Also the rMB feels special just like the original Macbook Air did, even if it was under powered is was a still a special laptop and my favourite to date until now.

I am just liking this rMB more and more all the time, i don't think i could bring myself to return it now, and I've only been using it for 4 days.

Many thanks for the insight to your ablutions :) just remember the rMB Apple logo is inert and wont display your weight when stood on LOL

Enjoy your new Mac to the fullest

I have made my mind up already which one i am going to keep, it's the rMB, i said in an earlier post i was going to give it another week or so, but i am loving the rMB more and more every minute, in fact i am in love with it, i have just filed for a divorce.:)

I have just put the MBP up for sale on eBay, i have a 75% discount on final valuation fees so it's a good time to sell it.

Anyone who is not a power user, you have to get one of these rMB's if you can afford one, you will love it, it is a special laptop. I cant speak for power users as i am not one.

I'm just off for a shower now with my rMB, i'll try not to stand on it.:D

My base 1.1GHz MacBook is indeed sometimes a lag monster, but only in the specific use case of playing video with Movist or VLC and trying to so any other work with the machine. Video taxes this thing quite a bit. Otherwise it's great. My problem is I do watch video quite a bit while I'm doing other work. Skylake reportedly has 15% better CPU performance, clock-for-clock, and Skylake is supposed to also bring 40% better GPU performance overall and hardware decoding of H.265 video. I'm glad I got the MacBook, but golly, I am curious about what Skylake or Kaby Lake could do for me.

I'm looking into the rMB as I'm wanting something portable for email/web browsing/video, nothing really demanding as I have a high end Skylake gaming rig, how would you say it would handle that? How does it handle HD Youtube and Netflix in HTML5?

No problems with Netflix and 4k video on Youtube play perfectly.

Yeah I have the Base model and love it.

The most "intense" thing I've used it for is retouching med format files in photoshop - it was as good as my i7 iMac for the most part - fashion though so it's more skin and toning rather than a hundred layers.

I'd like to see how it handles some of my music work but it doesn't have an audio in port and I tend to record off hardware synths rather than use midi/usb connections.

Still - love the little thing!
