Cleaning out Yahoo Mail

I've had Yahoo mail for years and I'd like to clean it up a bit. I want to archive, download and erase everything past the last 6 months or so. I've slogged through the Yahoo menus and help files but I don't see any way of doing it. Any ideas? TIA.

Thanks but what I'm looking for is to archive, download and then delete from Yahoo. It's a small item but something I've been thinking about.
