Any updates on this from those of you using it? This is one of those tweaks I really want to work, but it's not worth the price if it's still not functional...

I've heard the latest version (1.2-1) still doesn't fix the bug where all your e-mail shows up as blank, even though the change log says:

"fixed keychain handling and 'blank mails' bug"

To me, that's a deal-breaker.

Damn. Yes, that would be. Thanks for the heads up though.

Bought Cleverpin tonight but not working here either.

Does anybody know if the author is coming out with a new version soon?

Well, he damn well better be, because it has major issues as it currently stands.

Gave in and bought CleverPin tonight, because it *appeared* after hours of searching the web that the majority of issues were conflicts with LockInfo and issues with Mail were with Exchange Server setups, neither of which I have.

It doesn't work with recognized networks--adds them and then continues to require a PIN.
It doesn't work with the Battery Charging function.
It doesn't work with the Airplane Mode function.
I'd venture to say it doesn't work at all.

After half an hour of attempts to get the damn thing to just once not require a password, the phone went into emergency call mode.

I've managed, through SBSettings, to get it into Safe Mode, and it's currently plugged in to iTunes to backup/sync. When that's done, I'll be uninstalling this tweak, if I can get into it--or restoring the phone, we'll see which. As far as I can tell, CleverPin is a massive piece of FAIL at the moment, and a complete waste of money.

(For reference: iPhone4/4.2.1/1.59, JB with Pwnage and I've probably seen Safe Mode 3 or 4 times in almost a year--very stable JB setup prior to this)

Edit to add: after the sync, the phone let me back in (still in Safe Mode). CleverPin has been deleted. Interestingly, I found the exact same type of crash was posted by a user here a month or so back with of another of this dev's tweaks, CameraLock (which has performed perfectly on my phone, but similarly doesn't work consistently or at all for others.)

So I guess the moral is, if you're going to use this guy's stuff, back up regularly, have SBSettings installed and accessible from the lockscreen. The computer didn't recognize the phone until I put it in Safe Mode, so SBSettings saved me from a restore.

Anybody having any luck with this thing? After I installed it, it was working fine, and than I just noticed recently now I can't get my phone to ask me for a passcode after I put it in once after a respring. I uninstalled it and still can't do it. It's really starting to bug me. Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine only asks for a passcode right after a respring, after that not even an uninstall can get my passcode back :(

Exact same as me. It's pissing me off. If someone found a fix please post it!

Unfortunately, if you've uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and it's still not asking you for a password, I'd suspect it screwed up something in the system. A restore is likely the only way to get back to normal.

For the record, my emergency uninstall performed while in Safe Mode left me with a "normal" phone that is back to asking for a password every time it's turned on. No way to know, of course, if Safe Mode made the difference, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try it--easier than a restore if it works.

I tried that and unfortunately it didn't work...ugh. I'm definitely not prepared to do a restore on my phone.

Edit: Not sure if this matters or not, but when in Safe Mode the passcode options work fine.

Use iFile to search from the root folder on "Cleverpin". Use a Hierarchy search, not directory. Mine just turned up two files that remained even after uninstall (I was on v1.2.1, dunno what v1.3 leaves behind.). I'm thinking if you deleted or renamed those, it might clear the problem?

I found five leftover files and deleted them all but still no luck. Any other thoughts?

Out of ideas here beyond reboot, contact the Dev (not known for being helpful from what I've read, but at least worth a try), or restore. I don't know enough about how such things work to know what may have been changed.

I was hoping since 1.3 was out it was worth a try again, but if that's what's going to happen, sounds like it still isn't really fixed. Which sucks, as this is one tweak I'd put in the absolutely invaluable column if it ever freaking worked as described.

Thanks for your efforts, appreciated. Instead of restoring I resetted my settings. It took me like maybe 30 minutes to get everything back to the way it was. But it worked for me so it's not too bad. Never again will I try that tweak again...

It's a shame 'cause Filippo Biga came out of nowhere and produced some quality tweaks (CallNow & to some extent SpringTomize comes to mind) but has definitely failed to deliver on CleverPin. SMS+ has been updated 5 times since release a week ago so guess he's using us as beta testers until he gets tired and shifts his attention to a new tweak... Although I hope not

Anyone updated to 1.4-1 yet? He's claiming "improved network recognition" along with iOS 5 compatibility. I'd still love to eventually see this tweak work...
