Wrong. What people expect from a tablet is set by the conclusions a consumer makes after using the iPad, and consumers have clearly demanded more than just a phone OS on a large screen. What people expect from a tablet is set by the iPad..
That would be sweet. iPhone 5 with LTE and a new UI would be sweet.Pretty sure that desktop elements will be there.
You're perfectly entitled to your own opinion. There are other people who reject Android simply because they are only willing to consider Apple products, regardless of the benefits of competing products. There were other people in the thread who were talking about how ****** Android was and making other derogatory statements about it. That's who the statement was directed towards. Why is it that if someone likes and actually prefers an apple product, they are labeled a fanboy but if you prefer one of the Android flavours, you are not? I actually love the advertised web OS tablet, I also love iOS. I don't particularly care for Android.
For real?If andread is all that and a bag of chips, why haven't they done anything innovative? All they can do is follow Apple and true to copy. Why would anyone think that is the "truth"?
I'll just speak the truth right now.
Apple beats Google when it comes to phones, but Google is headed in a better direction than Apple did with its first tablet.
The ELEMENTS and CONCEPTS of Android 3.0 is more of what people should expect from a tablet OS, regardless of how buggy or unpolished it is. Google can fix the bugs and tweak the design, but Apple can't expect to remain viable with an OS that is meant to be on a phone rather than a 10 inch screen.
and consumers have clearly demanded more than just a phone OS on a large screen.

Tabbed Safari
Unobtrusive Notifications
A home page that displays whatever kind of information you want upon wakeup.
Ability to toggle settings such as brightness, wifi, 3G with a quick tap.
If iOS5 can do all this in June, I'll be impressed.
The Xoom has plenty of problems that are completely unrelated to the OS. The WiFi version should have been launched with the LTE version at a price that's competitive with the 16GB WiFi iPad.Wrong. If you want to use phrases likes like "consumers have clearly demanded," you have to show how they "clearly" have made the demand and where they voted with their wallets. Which would mean the first iPad failed after a hot start (with a ton of return rate) and the Xoom would be selling like hotcake now.
You do know what vaporware is, correct? The Xoom launched a few days ago.Another thread about unicorns and vaporware.
Question: How do you destroy an iPad?
Answer: Ship it with Android 3.0 Honeycomb
iPad is still miles ahead of every other tablet.
Sounds like a nightmare. UIs wouldn't exist anymore. Just grids of icons with inertial scrolling. SJ would approve all apps for consumption. Gaming would be declared illegal.I closed my eyes and imagined utopia...The world was in total harmony and there was peace everywhere. Google no longer existed and everyone had a iMac, Air, iPad and iPhone. No goofans, no imitators, just love and happiness.
When I awoke, some idiot was still whining about retina screens.
Custom home pages weren't created by Google or the jailbreaking community. It's not like this was a new idea or something. That shouldn't be too hard for them to do. BTW, the custom home page was something that was done on jail broken iPhones. That was not something created by Google.

iPad came first, and there's only one other competitor. It will take time for Apple to start feeling the sting of competition, so they can afford to relax right now and just go at a steady pace since they are a year or two ahead in terms of hardware and how it works with the software.Wrong. Where did you get that number from?+1. Where did Calidude get this "consumers have clearly demanded" bull***t??? Consumers have spoken and 80% of the tablet market are clearly satisfied with their iPad.
Sorry, I tried to imagine....but for some reason I kept seeing bees....![]()
