Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but it happened with Fox as well. Story about democrats not attending the SoTU.

And yet, countless other users of Apple News haven't had any issues. So somehow this is a bug that only impacts CNN but is Apple's fault?

Not seeing multiple notifications on any of my sites that also push to Apple News.

Apparently is wasn't only CNN. I was getting bombed with that CNN story, then turned off Apple News notifications....then an hour later I started getting bombed in the identical way with a Fox news story.

With Apple's current track record of software quality (read: lack thereof), it's likely a safe bet.
If this turns out to be yet another Apple software problem, I'd say it's time for Timmy to triple down on the increasingly lacking software services, and I mean clean house if need be.

The recent frequency of these problems is becoming unacceptable by the high standards set by Apple's hardware and by us, the willingly premium-paying consumers.

Even the best hardware in the world will not perform satisfactorily with flaw-ridden, sputtering, and buggy software.

I kept getting these notifications from the Apple News app for Fox News. It was the same story that kept popping up. I originally thought it was the Fox News app that was doing it, so I deleted the app. I then realized it was Apple News that was sending the same story over and over. I eventually had to turn off notifications for the Apple News app.

I was reading an ebook while overseeing homework time at the kitchen table. That crazy alert kept popping up and obscuring my book. I am so glad this didn't happen while I was driving and relying on the maps. Or trying to catch a rare bug or fish in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

I checked and I had turned off my CNN alerts months ago because they would just get repeated by Apple News anyway. I don't have Fox News on Apple News so I didn't get the Fox alert bug. At any rate this seems to be an Apple News bug.

Whoever's fault this is, I would like to slap the person in charge upside the head with a dead tuna for causing me much aggravation at a good part of the book. If that is Hairforce One, so be it. I will mess up his hair!

This was very annoying. It impacted my Clash Royale game. Fortunately I was able to overcome it with superior skill.

The Apple news app is great. You should give it a shot.
I find Reeder is still the best for following specific sites/RSS feeds. But Apple News is okay for following a specific topic where the source of the articles can come from multiple sites that you wouldn’t want to follow all the time.

This was most irritating... I was in a meeting and had my watch, iPhone and iPad, all going off repeatededly. After a few minutes I had to step out and turned off Apple News notifications on both iPhone and iPad. I found this event to be far more irritating than the false misile alert and kept thinking to myself that whoever is responsible for this should be fired or better yet beaten with a stick until dead.

News about the news is the hottest trending news you can find right now.

My Apple Watch has been doing this for the past 3 hours. CNN and Bleacher Report are the only notifications that have come in so far, but it is driving me nuts.
