i live in carrollton, ga; sprint and verizon both have LTE in my small college town.
AT&T however, does not.
Sucks to be on AT&T man :(

Since LTE stands for Long Term Evolution, it will be everywhere eventually.

Its the new Standard.

AT&T's LTE roll out is quite dismal across the nation. None in my home state of Michigan. I got to experience it in Chicago on my iPad this summer and it was nice.

These maps are also out of date, for VZW it does not show LTE in my small town, but I have it, and have had it since April.

Nice link. This is exactly why more people are going to Verizon from other comparable carriers. I'm going to wait out my att contract till Oct 11th then switch to Verizon so I can actually use the LTE here in MI lol:p

Detroit and Grand Rapids are on the Y/E 2012 list for AT&T...

The AT&T map isn't accurate. San Antonio is covered for the most part yet this shows that the closest coverage is Austin. Just make sure to check with your actual carrier before panicking!

Damn this is the one time I actually think it sucks to be on AT&T for data!

So after all the trolling about the 4S not having LTE, Apple being late to LTE, etc. it appears that only one company has truly national coverage so far. Apple was wise to wait.

Eventually the entire nation will be LTE. LTE won't be going anywhere for a while (moreso than 3G). AT&T is just taking its sweet time.

What stands out to me is that Verizon has 6, yes 6, markets in North Dakota of all places. Impressive.

Yes, in time ATT will have more coverage. But, do you realize that takes years not months? ATT will not catch up with VZ ever because VZ is already so far ahead. Also, it will probably take 3-4 years before ATT has as many towers as VZ.

My old neighbor works for the Verizon corporate office in DC as an attorney. I kid you not back in 2008 she told me they were already building a 4G network. I had no clue what she was talking about.

Did you happen to do a speed test? If so, was it even close to 100Mbps?

m

This is the only test I think I did while I was there. It was plenty good enough to watch Neflix without any buffering in the hotel room.

I know the image says iPhone, but it was tested on my iPad. Just used the iPhone app on iPad to do it.

I'd get a GSM version CDMA phones suck I'm sure AT&T is going to keep up with Verizon with no issues, slowly but they will

Generalizations also suck, Most US consumers do not even know that AT&T and Verizon use different technology standards. If CDMA is so terrible how is Verizon still in business?

AT&T is already not able to keep up with Verizon's LTE rollout, the map speaks for its self. (Though it appears a little outdated for all 3 carriers.)

Yeah I probably should have said YMMV. I have noticed according to the coverage viewer, Northern VA has LTE down to about Dale City and to about Leesburg. It just seems like AT&T is moving slow with it.
