This has been around for almost a year. It launched in September 2015. Then was pulled for a few months and returned in June. Additionally, it doesn't work with iOS 10.

And to add: when the app reappeared, offers less than the original version.

What does it offer less in? Looks identical to my version. I'm definitely curious.

I noticed it disappeared as well. But I was surprised to see it again. Cycle count and battery health info is good to know.

Put the link in for your battery health app. What does the icon look like?

The one with screenshots doesn't exist anymore. Apple pulled it.

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of this App? I mean, what are you guys using it for?

I don't even have the percentage indicator turn on for my iPhone. If i charge it overnight, it's fully charged in the morning. Most days I have at least 1/3 of the charge remaining when I plug it in. So for my personal use, I don't need or want to know any of the battery stats.

I think battery health app was pulled because it gave info about the battery that Apple no longer wants to divulge...crazy if you ask me.

Honestly, I just use it for checking the cycle count and estimated battery health. Occasionally I will look at it while charging to see when it actually gets to 100%, as the system-reported percentage is a bit different from the app reported percentage. I usually use my phone with the percentage indicator off too, as I would just obsess over it for no good reason. Mind you, I don't use this app daily; just as an infrequent companion to everyday tech life.

When the iPhone battery percent reads 100% it's really only 95%. I use this app to make sure my battery is truly charged to 100% before unplugging.

I just purchased coconutBattery cuz I like the app so much on my Mac. I used Battery Life by Robert Tkotzyk on my iPhone. I find coconutBattery to be the most accurate (plugging it into my Mac and using coconutBattery's iOS part to see my phone).

Love this app as it helps my battery OCD.

Really sad to see that these apps disappear when iOS 10 comes out next month....

And yes, to keep OCD under control, I'll only check a few times a week.

None of these apps work with iOS 10? That's really bad as I rely on them a lot.

Will there be any solution to check battery cycle counts on iOS 10 without requiring a computer?

Nope. All this information is now completely hidden by Apple. Capacity, health, cycle count, charge rate and temperature.

The only computer app that works is ibackupbot and that is limited and only works 50% of the time.

Yep, they won't open for me on iOS 10. :(

Connecting to laptop (Macbook Air) coconutBattery says that no iOS Device is found!

I used to look at this stuff every day (I admit, an OCD) but that said, I'm looking forward to being forced not to be able to look at it too. lol.

It's really annoying that they limited access to this information. Damn why Apple always has to be so shady and dishonest with their users! :(

I wonder if maybe someone will eventually find a way to retrieve the battery data in a different way.

I think Apple's stance on this - that the battery info be hidden with ios10 - to be deplorable.

More dumbing down of the Apple consumer.

Get used to it...Apple knows best! (Not)

This is why I jailbreak and won't update to iOS 10 until there is a jailbreak for it!

Have you tried updating to the latest coconutBatter 3.3.4? The developer is claiming that it supports iOS 10.

Ah cool, thanks for the info. I just updated and restarted coconutBattery on my Macbook Air. Still saying no iOS device found! :(
