Ok, this worked for me:
Download the following file:
http://web1.evenbalance.com/downloads/cod4/mc002301.mac
After the file is downloaded place it into the install path
>pb/dll folder.
Finally.
the link appears not to be working for me... could you upload the file somewhere?

See my other post above - it had the evenbalance link to the manual downloads page (Mac users are supposed to download three files).

I confirm that this link does work and you have to put it in the right places, there are 2 places you need to put it. Here is a link that will help you because I dont feel like explaining it http://support.aspyr.com/entries/214...lems-with-cod4 and I once again say it did work for me and will for you as long as your not a noob.

A nice, simple summary of actions required to fix this:

If you correctly recreate the two required PB folders and insert the downloaded .mac file in both, it works.
Made a new PB folder on the desktop.
Dropped the .mac file into it.
Opened pb_setup on this new PB folder, select COD4, browse to find this new pb folder
Run Check for Updates.
Look in two folders:
Applications/COD4/Data/PB
User/Library/Application Support/COD4/PB
Trash both PB folders.
Replace with your newly created PB folder w the .mac file.
Open COD4, enable pb.

Having run the pb_setup and updated CORRECTLY, there are two files not mentioned until today. One is called, "fix.html" and the other, "pbsec.htm" that will go into the HTM folder, making sure the new "mc002301.mac" file is in the PB folder.
On my computer I have two PB folders:
Applications/COD4/Data/PB
User/Library/Application Support/COD4/PB
I made one new pb folder on my desktop and placed it in two places mentioned.
