Recently a product has been rumored to be released with the iPad3 other than the Apple TV3. The product has a codename of "B82". Obviously we won't know for sure what it is until at least March 7th, but does anyone want to take a stab based on everything we do know about the iPad3 and Apple TV3 (A5X, A6, BT4.0, etc.) ?

It's a strobe light and laser show accessory for the iPad 3. I think they partnered with the Djay app to put it together.

No. It's the new Apple stylus which is pressure sensitive to 2300 levels. Bah-hahaha never in a million years!

I'm going with Apple stylus just so I can feel like my prediction of an Apple stylus/Apple designed note taking app will be announced at the event. However, I feel that in reality it's probably the ATV 3.

B82

I have been saying how I think we may see an announcement at the iPad 3 event concerning note-taking, and I think the mysterious B82 model may be for an Apple stylus. The current styli for the iPad is really crap compared to good ole pen and paper. With Apple heavily pushing the iPad into the education world and wanting students to use iPads it only makes sense they would innovate in this area. I know Steve Jobs' famous quote on styli but I believe that was more in line with if you MUST use a stylus to operate the device it's a fail. If its a simple accessory tool to increase productivity I see no reason why Apple would not create something. I think we may see an Apple-designed note taking app also with an Apple-designed stylus. It may play into the "And Touch" part of the invitation. It will be just like when they spent part of the keynote last year showing off the Smart Cases, only this year it will be an amazing stylus. That's just my two cents.

What do you guys think B82 will be, if it is real?

Definitely will not have a stylus. You must be joking.

I don't think it's that outlandish. A stylus is just an accessory, like a case; and Apple makes their own case. I definitely think its more plausible than a 7" iPad or an 8gb iPad 2.

Stylus ≠ Bad.

Look at the Samsung Galaxy Note. It's an amazing device. The screen is so fluid and crisp. You have a stylus that you can optionally use, and the features it incorporates are really nice and the stylus overall is really handy for drawing, taking notes, highlighting, etc.

It would be insanely awesome to get an enhanced stylus for the iPad.

Im guessing a case with a wireless keyboard built in. 9to5mac must have some reason though to suggest a bluetooth 4.0 remote with mic because that not exactly on everyones mind, maybe the have an unconfirmed "tip".

Well I am definitely getting an iPad 3 as its high time iPad1 got shared around the family and its my birthday this month but how quickly I order? If it is a stylus, all my dreams will come true and I will whipping out the plastic fantastic as fast as I can.

To be able to comfortably write on my iPad with something that feels like a pen (as opposed to what I do now with horrid rubber or plastic crayon like things) is my ultimate feature wish.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Couldn't they just include the Bluetooth remote with the ATV purchase, or is it too expensive to bundle in to a $99 product?

You might be on to something here, even if you were being a bit sarcastic (I can't tell)

B = Black
8 = 8GB
2 = iPad 2

no wasn't being sarcastic thats just what I'm thinking...with the rumors of one just seems logical

8 gigs though, that's not much space for anything. But I guess if you don't need very many apps, or care to store music or video on the device, it would work fine.

Im guessing that if that is what they release. They are aiming at a lower price to reign in the Kindle fire crowd. I believe the kindle fire only has 8gb. This would be aimed at those wanting a better internet browsing experience, larger color screen for magazines, books and some apps. They introduce this maybe at a $299 price point and now you have folks looking at the kindle fire and thinking for $100 more I can get a bigger Ipad 2. Where right now they are thinking an Ipad 2 is $300 more.

I'm going for the most improbable!

It's a game controller with tactile display technology, iTV remote (with Siri?) and Ipad mini combination :D
