Recently switched from PG Tips to Yorkshire Tea, so much better! Bigger bags, makes a stronger, tastier brew. Smidgeon of milk & 1 sugar. 6-8 Cups a day.

To mix things up in your tea drinking, I recommend GenmaiCha (link) which has toasted rice in it. It makes a very nice cup of tea, and is a nice change from my day to day Ceylon and Darjeelings.

Cheers

Twinings English breakfast with v. small amount of skimmed milk and no sugar, and of course use boiling (not just hot) water.

One soy latté in the morning to get me going and lots of Twinings Blackcurrant, Ginseng & Vanilla tea during the day :)

I prefer black coffee early in the morning.

The rest of the day I prefer iced tea (or, when I need an extra kick, iced coffee). If I feel the need for something hot, and it's too late in the day for coffee, I get myself some tea without sugar (it takes a while to get used to sugarless tea, but now I actually prefer it that way).

I prefer tea... usually with milk and sugar. Chai lattes are a guilty pleasure.

When I do drink coffee, it's usually with a bit of cream and heavier on the sugar. I find most coffees too bitter for my tastes.

Oh, that's one of my favourites too...
I'm beginning to think we're Siamese Mind-Twins. That must be the 30th time this week we've agreed on something :D

Coffee: La Colombe when I make it at home and any brand Americano anywhere else (Except for Buck's County which = poison).

For tea recommendations my wife has been drinking loose tea from Teavana. I don't know which one she likes best but she's a big fan of it.

Usually I'm a tea kind of guy (Choice Organic Tea is where it's at - especially the Earl Grey, or English Breakfast Tea), but I've been known to drink a cup of coffee now and again (usually black, and usually Bike Fuel Coffee).

I like tea and coffee but prefer coffee, especially now that I am trying to cut down on sugar consumption (hopefully to zero). Tea is a bit too bitter without a little bit of sugar.

I find it to be exactly opposite. I can have tea with out sugar but I need my coffee to be sweet.

Have you ever had coffee ice cream? That's the creaminess and sweetness that I like my coffee - just hot!

Recommendations?

You should try Mariage Freres tea, from France. It is the absolute best tea I have ever consumed. Since it is fairly expensive, I only have it periodically.

The "Vanille Des Illes" (sp?) and "Eros" are two excellent flavors, along with their black tea.

Tea, a cup or two a day, milk no sugar. Used to drink more before my surgery. Cut back afterwards, and less is fine. Prefer not having to pee all morning.

Most Americans haven't had any tea. They think they have, but they haven't, because by-in-large, they are making it in a cup with tepid water. All tea tastes very bad made this way. Boiling water, pot. Very simple.

I generally have Typhoo on hand, one of the "golds" (Barry's Gold or Yorkshire Gold), a common blend such as English or Irish Breakfast, and varietal or two (Ceylon, Assam) when I can find them. All loose, no bags -- the best way. I stay away from Twinnings. Expensive, and not very good quality.

So tea is better loose, made in a tea pot with boiling water? Will the bags do in a pinch, or is it not the same?

Good quality tea bags are fine, but the proper way is in a pot with loose leaves. Personally I don't really care.

As for the coffee vs tea, I drink whatever I feel like. Usually that's coffee, but I do get urges to drink varieties of tea.

I usually have coffee in latte, cappuccino, iced or frappe form. Iced being my favourite. I usually take 1 sugar and milk, but if I'm eating something sweet with it then I skip the sugar. Same goes for regular tea.

I also like having regular tea with lemon and honey rather than with milk, particularly if I have a sore throat or cold. I'm also big on herbal teas - green, jasmine, peppermint, vanilla and all of the many other wonderful varieties that are out there. My favourite tea though, is Bubble Tea. Best drink EVA!
