Coffee with a splash of Almond Milk... But that is only for a few brands of coffee. Other times, espresso style. Tea, non-sweetened, this goes for pretty much all the flavors of tea we drink.

I just had a little can of Peets Mocha coffee. I have Starbucks available and was Gold for over a year, but I really don't like it. It's in the same building, so it's easy.

I always prefer Matcha or Sen Cha for tea, but coffee, when mixed with good ingredients is like dessert.

Speaking of tea, I dug a vintage tin labeled Harrods Strong Breakfast Tea out of a cabinet in the dining room. Had we been brewing tea in the dining room? Maybe. I think my wife just wanted the tin, but to my surprise it’s full of tea, 1-2 decade old tea. It looked good, pasts the smell test, I’m a gambler, so I brewed up a packet and it tastes good! At least good enough to satisfy my pedestrian tastes. Remember, I’m the guy who drinks instant coffee frequently, when I don’t want to mess with the coffee press. ☺️

This unlike the favored tequila we brought back from Mexico about 7 years ago. We had not been drinking it and after a taste test, I pitched all of that and am sad I did not bring back some traditional high grade tequila instead. I assume that would have aged better.

I miss Harrods. Miss that place. Used to love Harrods in London

during the pandemic I've switched from a morning latte in a cafe to pour over coffee at home......tea has its time and place too, but it's mainly coffee for me

Coffee. I've moved all of my drinking to a light roast coffee by a US company - https://happymugcoffee.com - been ordering from them for years but now I joined their monthly subscription. I have the refillable plastic Keurig cups and use those with a burr grinder.

I still do Earl Grey or Green Tea Kirkland (Ito en) mid day if I'm feeling like a pick me up.

It depends on my mood: drink both coffee and tea.

For coffee I favor Sumatra for espresso-based drinks. For coffee beans of other origin, I generally go with drip brewing.

Tea is even more complicated. I enjoy Western style teas and a bunch of Eastern teas including black, brown, green and herbal (again depending on my whims).

The brewing of tea is more complicated than coffee, optimal temperature varies considerably between tea types. You really shouldn't use the same teacup between different tea types especially if they are earthenware.

And yes, in the hottest part of summer I will drink cold-brewed iced tea (no sugar) from cheap Trader Joe's English Breakfast teabags. That's the only time I will willing drink tea from made from teabags.

Great tea starts with loose tea. You also need great water but that's a different topic...

Getting back into chamomile tea. Good evening alternative to daily morning heavy duty coffee. BTW, do the Brits still add milk to their tea?
