I have the original AppleSac, and quite honestly I find myself disappointed. Yes it sheds. It doesn't shed too much, but I've carried the notebook with the sleeve as if you're carrying books, and after I put the notebook down, I'll find many little fibers on my shirt. It's a lot more noticeable when I wear a black shirt. I've passed a lint roller over it several times, but it hasn't worked really well.

I don't like the fit that much. It could be tighter, and the velcro seems off. If you're going to stuff it into a backpack, make sure that your backpack is at least a little bit padded up inside because this case is really thin. I'm a little worried about carrying it inside a backpack with other books. A case such as the Incase neoprene sleeve would probably offer better protection.

So I hate carrying it around because if I carry it in a bag I'm afraid that my MacBook will get dented from just placing the bag down since it's very thin. And I can't carry it in my arms either because I'll be covered in the fibers.

This is just my honest opinion.

I was comparing it to the Incase Neoprene Sleeve which is of course a sleeve as well. I was stating how I believe that case would fair much better in the situations that the AppleSac would not.

I also prefer the Speck Tuck Pack and you can get 50% off on their site by using the coupon code devcamp50 :D

So you're not comparing like with like. Nice.

Speck TUCK PACK, you'll thank me later. 30 bucks on Amazon.

The tuck pack is HUGE relative to the sleeves being discussed. Totally unsuitable for putting it in another bag unless of course you have an absolutely massive bag.
