What would you suggest me to get with that extra 200$ that Apple offers when a college student buys a MBPro? What would you recommend the best way to use that extra 200$ they give?

What extra $200? All Apple does is give you a discount, which means lower priced item. That extra $ you can use to upgrade your RAM or HDD. Also, the iPod, you pay for it, but you fill out a Mail-In-Rebate to get your $$ back.

and about the iPod, well if you get 200$ back dont that mean that Apple gives you for free an iPod Touch? No?

Apple gives you $200 but Steve Jobs' face is on the bills so you can only spend it at an Apple Store. Kinda sucks.

One computer, one ipod rebate. The amount of the rebate is the price of the ipod or $199, whichever is smaller. They're not giving you a free $200, they're giving you an ipod via mail in rebate.

still isnt that a free gift (a free ipod)

Yes, but you can't use the $200 to buy RAM or a case or whatever you want. If you have a computer and an ipod on the same receipt, you can apply for a mail in rebate.
